the devil was with kaiser and visited the brikworks on teh 21/3/ 08 and found it to be fuking awesome other than that the security has been beefed up quite a lot. if u call a new fence with a massive hole in it and a 40 min response time by the personell of CHUBB security then that is rly safe.
the security guard has no power to do anything but ask you to leave and in this case he didnt even open the second gate. the security left almolst imeditly and we renterd in under 10 min
the building with teh stack (chimney) is inadvisable too acces as its about to fall down the other building is completly fine apart from the very top level which the floor is rotted (its 15 mtrs off the ground so dont attemp to walk on it) u will Fail and die. lastly we would like to thank all the people who continue to cut holes in the fence and make it easy 4 xplorers to enter:
btw if ur in the area of doncaster park and ride only in the nxt suburb ther is a massive drain and its very cool chek it out

Had an issue here myself.

Accidentally disturbed the neighbour's dog. made a fuckton of noise and security rolled up; I was in the furnace tunnels at the time, so the security guard had no idea. He opened the first gate, made a call on his radio and left.
By the time he left, I was long gone out of the property.
It's good to go here during the day, lots of Deakin students go there for photography. It's a pretty awesome location, especially with a lot of the old machinery intact.
(bump)

Myself and a mate (lostman) went and checked out the brickworks last night. There is still a hole in the fence, though you have to crawl through it.
The place is friggin' amazing and I loved trying to imagine how all that machinery would have functioned to make bricks. Also in the electrical plant room found heaps of old order forms and sales dockets from when it was actually operating. I was hoping to take some photos but my camera's battery was flat, so next time!
Also went and checked out the mini-tenth drain as well, that's one massive drain no wonder one of the Cave Clan guys drove his car down it!
