Kiley Nationsbank Park is going to be bulldozed soon, as is the Tampa Museum of art. All of the artwork has been moved out of the art museum, and is currently in a temporary location in Centrado Ybor.

The new art museum does look spiff, with it's exterior surface covered in LEDs and whatnot... but the loss of this park is a tragedy. So go see it while it is still there.

Sucks, but last time I was there, the garage didn't seem to be in good condition, to the point of it simply not being safe anymore. I hate to see the place go, but it seems that they not only neglected the park, but the structure it's built upon, thus pretty much forcing it to have to be 'dozed.

Many a high school adventure were had here. At least we have the pictures.

This is a true shame and waste...."Chia Pet" park as we called it because of the grass....is an awesome place and I spent MANY nights roaming downtown Tampa and the park with my friends way back in the early 90s...ALOT of great times were had there and Im really sad to see this part of my youth go down like that If ANYONE can go out there before its too late and just document the bejezus out of the park I would be most grateful...Im in San Diego (active duty navy) and cant get back there until next year for my sisters wedding. Please update this before its gone ...*pours some out for my beloved park*

The plans I saw for the site showed that a good deal of the park would be retained. I'd really like to see if the whole place is gone. Pics or it didn't happen.
