CBC Radio 1 (Toronto) reported yesterday (July 06/07) that Oshawa has purchased the buildings & related components from Cullen Gardens Miniature Village.

No mention of where in Oshawa they will be installed, only that they will be open to the public by 2010.

The official City of Oshawa press release is here:

This is good news for the miniature village! Although it will be moved to Oshawa, we'll still be able to see it.

So it looks like Cullen Gardens isn't necessarily gone, but rather taken apart and relocated...

Amen to that.

Fortunately, Whitby has purchased the gardens portion and hopefully that won't be sold to a developer to be turned into another sardine subdivision.

Damn!!

Yes this is very frustrating! Especially when those morons didn't take the time to properly prepare the stuff for storage. Had they taken the time and got a plan together, this would not have turned into a debacle.

Maybe we should organize a rescue!!!
