| | | ...Well, well, well...
Condos, semi-detatched houses, blocks, and townhouses...
See what our beloved Whitby Psych has been reduced to. Now it will be turned into a massive sub-division filled with residences, most of which will be crammed into a space too small, and highly over-priced. There used to be fifty beautiful buildings--the prime of German Architecture--sitting there, quietly, minding their own business. It truely makes me sad. But the contractors, and the pro...err...Pro-demolition-and-building-of-lousy-subdivision townspeople of Whitby don't care about what those buildings meant to the world of Urban Exploration. It was very easy--at some times--to UE, and it was so fun! Those people who wanted them gone were crawling all over them like I would crawl all over a nice juicy striploin steak from the Keg. I wonder...I wonder if they would have made nearly as much, or possibly even more money in revenue if they had turned that place into a museum. There are millions of clippets and snippits of information they could have mounted onto plaques to make that place interesting -- it had a hell of a lot of history. How bowt Cyril Rich, the poor, young guard who was murdered by a Schizophrenic patient [I think...] You know the reason why he was brutally hung by his tie? Because the patient thought he was putting electricity into his coffee, which was causing his legs to go numb. That reminds me of one of my favourite pictures on the internet from WPH. It was a picture of "The Guard Died In Here," written in magic marker on the wall... ...I Wish I had that picture... Anyways... I hope my little monologue here has brought back fond memories of a beloved place which for many of us, sucked us into this crazy, dangerous, but very popular... "Sport?"
