Since it is not a linear process at this mill, it would be very difficult for a lay person like me to understand it. I need to watch more Discovery channel. They had a show on the paper making process a few weeks ago. There will be more galleries coming, so you can keep describing what we're looking at. Your comments are interesting and greatly enjoyed. Keep them up.

what i mean by a linear process is that the mill is set up to flow with each step...
like this
back end of the mill (woodyard)--------------->-----Pulp mill/Recaust/Powerhouse-
--------->paper machine section--------->---- Finishing room----->----warehouse.
this is the back end of the IP mill. In the foreground is the pulp mill, the chip silos are the orange silos in front of it. Off to your right is the woodyard. Behind the pulp mill, the really BIG building is the powerhouse.
this is a better shot of just the pulp mill
moving right to left, you move into the paper machines, that long BOX leading out of frame... that's where #7 and #8 paper machines are and where the finishing room is (sheeters, baler room), warehouse.
