I propose a rope-guided raft or a climb down near the old mill

Nick and I have overlooked this many times, often finding outselves standing on the bridge, just staring at it. We have a plan worked out, but with something like this, we cannot allow a crew to exceed a few people.

If there were only one or two people, we would do the climb down, climb out. But if too many people get involved, it was kinda of decided that one person would climb down and throw a rope to the island. The others would have hopped in a floatation device and pulled themselves from the opposite shore to the island, then from the island to the doorway. The only problem is that the water along this side gets kickin hard and keeping control of the raft, tube, or whatever could become difficult, impossible, or even deadly.

All in all, there is no easy way to do this.

<reuben> somebody keeps jiggling the doorknob on my front door, then running away
<reuben> i don't know if i should call the police, or hook up some electricity to the doorknob
<cristobal> why don't you put ice on the stairs <cristobal> and heat up the door knob <cristobal> and swing paint buckets down from your two story foyer <cristobal> then a few years later, fade from the public eye.....

I have a raft, but if you want to use it, you have to count me in. It fit two quite comfortably, I think it could safely (as safely as possible) fit three on that water. If needed, it could fit four. There are attachments that the rope could be put through, and I have oars but I doubt they'd be of any use.

I was down there a couple days ago and saw the water level was really low.
It was low enough to reveal a shelf about 3 feet wide at the base of the cliff.
I watched a groundhog foraging by the doorway and scamper back along the shelf to the base of the bridge. It would definitely have to be a night time exploration. during the week might be the best time with the weekend events going on at high falls. Don't need some dumb ass trying to be cool showing all his frat bros the people at the base of the cliff, then shouting it to anyone who will listen.
