As I understand it, the way this works is that Hydro plants producing excess power overnight would transmit it to Moriah. That power would be used to pump the water our of the mineshaft overnight, then releasing it through turbines during peak rates, putting it into the grid to turn a profit.
Never heard of such a thing. But within a couple years say goodbye to the building I believe on top of the Joker shaft.

just as an update, Dukes, there were crews in there again this spring finishing up asbestos abatement... you know what that means... Demolition is coming soon.

Rhone-Poulenc wants the piles, not the buildings.
