Secondly, if you judge music simply by the beliefs of it's writers, then I feel very sorry for your closeminded ass.

I'm sorry, but hearing "jesus christ is the lord" in a metal song really does make me hate it. What's so wrong with good old generic hate, why's it gotta be about fighting the good fight. Project 86 is able to beat around the bush religious wise for the most part and they have good music. But for the most part, I hate christian music. Judging doesn't even come into play. We're not christian, why listen to a band bound by those beliefs? Just another form of propaganda for the sheep.

I'm on an even keel with Christian music, but I'm sure even Mr. T will agree that there's a line to be drawn between "Praise the motherfuckin' Lord!" and more obscure references like Norma Jean and The Chariot use. There are some Christian bands that I wouldn't even know were Christian bands until they open their mouths onstage about it. (Nor Am I comes to mind).

But yeah, good old fashioned Devil Music can be just as great.

I listen to Rush, really bad hardcore cd's that Mike G burned for me, I idolize Les Claypool, and I'm dating the singer from HIM (god she's hott!)

Anyways, yeah when I get back on sunday, we all need to get together and do all the hating in person. Speaking of my return on Sunday.........how about band practice on Tuesday? yeah? yeah?

Off the current topic of band practices, but I'd like to say thanks for posting pics of the slide..... well, a couple of them at least. It brought back some memories of being a kid and wishing the family would stop at this motel when we would drive up to the mountains from FL. I saw this slide again on my last trip up this past summer, and your pics just kinda cemented it into memory. Kinda like the crazy ass rockets on I75 around Valdosta (i think they're around there at least).

Sometimes something that seems to suck has meaning to one person.


And as an aside, Ministry's only good album was With Sympathy. SUCK ON THAT .
