Dude,

This is certainly one of the most interesting locations posted to the LDB. Obviously it's a legendary PA landmark building in its death throes, and I really can appreciate your efforts at documenting the hell out of it, but don't you agree that 354 pictures might just be a tad excessive?

Don't take this the wrong way, but a lot of the pictures you posted are just lousy. I suggest you delete these galleries and start again. Discard any pictures that are obviously underexposed or blurry. Limit yourself to the best one or (at most) two pictures of any particular feature. Focus on the pictures that highlight the beautiful architecture, the interior spaces, the infrastructure, the details and the history of the place. One or two pics of the surrounding area should suffice. Include a few of the best exterior destruction pics to underline the tragedy that's taking place here. Think quality, rather than quantity.

Sorry for ranting on ya like that. As a location, your Con Hall kicks some serious ass, and your picture descriptions clearly show that you care about this place. Just edit this sucker down to your best 40 or 50 pics and you'll have an LDB entry to be proud of.

Thanks for the great tour, BTW. It must really suck to watch this beauty getting torn down.

OK, that was a little harsh... I'm not saying you don't have a point... but a little harsh none the less.

Anyway... excellent site you've brought to the table! I'm certainly going to try to check it out this week. How far along are the wreckers? 1/4 of the way, 1/2?

He indeed had a point Robbie. I just went through the galleries and deleted over 150 pics that came out blurry, underexposed or a little repetitive. Many of then were taken before I acquired a tripod, plus is was freezing out, making it impossible to hold the camera perfectly still in some cases. The one thing I can disagree with is whittling it down to 50 or so pics...It just can't be don in a location this big and complex.
Anyway, glad to see you around! The place as of now is over 50% demolished. I'm going to post more outside pics soon. It's probably too dangerous to venture into now I'm afraid...

And sorry if I came off like an ass with that first post, Robbie. I just happen to love the LDB and the fact that there's no upload limits on it. If it grows too big too fast, I'm concerned that Av may one day put a ceiling on how many pics we can put in it. And that's a day I don't want to see. That's all.

I'm looking forward to more updates from you guys soon. Not that I'm enjoying all this destruction that much.

drove around the site yesterday around 6:00... the crews were still working. It's cool though, you can see right into the building from a block away... it's just surreal to look into the various rooms and floors from so far away.

i actually think its great the way it is. the extra photos show every detail, and who knows, might be necessary someday. keep up the good work the site looks great.

Despite youse guys best efforts the LDB does have a gallery limit now.
