Though there's only one building left on the base, it could be turned into an educational building with kiosks on the Cold War, etc. This base was used from 1956-1961 to guard the former Naval Ammunition Depot and the city of Boston from Soviet Union bombers. The project will likely cost $25,000-$35,000, and is getting mostly warm support so far from preservationists and the rest of the town. Still has a few steps to go, but it looks like it could possibly go through. It'd be nice to see something re-purposed around here for once.
