	Shediac Municipal council voted last night 5 to 3 to demolish the Hotel Shediac. No date yet as to when the place will be demolished but it will be in the next coming weeks. The current site of the Hotel Shediac will serve as an extension to the Parc Pascal Poirier facing the Hotel. Bigger park, a lot less history...

	According to offical records, the Hotel Shediac was the oldest still standing hotel in Atlantic Canada... But then, Shediac municipal council never really wanted to save the place to begin with... It's the last commercial historic property standing in Shediac and it will be going down. It's too bad. They have no sense of history.
