I am sorry to debunk the Lee family running out of money prior to the Depression, but it is not true. The Spanish Mansion actually was finished. My granddad whose last name was not Lee built it. My dad and mom and oldest brother lived in the house from about 1947-1950 on the upper level. An aunt and uncle lived on the ground floor. However, I don't believe anyone has lived in the house since my family moved out about 65 years ago.
