This man has put tons of content in here? Why the low vote?

I wondered that too! A lot of time and research seems to have gone into this location !!?

It's all there... What's the problem ?

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

I like the content, and the quality of the oictures. I don't know why the vote is so low. I think the quality if first rate, meaning it's some of the best i've seen.

Because the other entry in the LDB had a better main picture and my have been the first. I voted high, but the main pic goes a long way.
Modified; definitely the reason, the post was entered as a separate entry for the same location, while Servo's "Bryce" was Jan 04 and this was June '04.
What was the rating before? It is a redundant post.

Servo's Bryve is a different location. A part of the hospital, but in an entirely different location, hence a separate location in the DB.

So I said "Why don't you shove it where the sun don't shine" and so he did. He put it in the cupboard under the stairs and it hasn't been mentioned since.

Yeah, I tried to ask Servo to re-name his... the site he has is commonly called "old Bryce", but in reality, Bryce Hospital has been in the exact same spot it's always been in---in Tuscaloosa, not in Northport.

When Bryce Hospital was built, it was called "Alabama Insane Hospital" or AIH for short. Some of the old tomb-stones still say AIH on them (yes, they have a cemetary; actually, there are three different ones I know of; a very old, an old, and the current one). Anyway, the name was changed to Bryce Hospital, after Dr. Peter Bryce, who was the first superintendant of the hospital.

The site Servo has listed as "old Bryce" was indeed part of the state mental health system, but other than that, I don't know what it was called exactly.

I've changed it to avoid further confusion.

If you are referring to the one in northport, i have ben informed that it is SD Allen Care Facility. Not sure about the nursing home adjacent to the large building, but apparently thats what it is. Me and a few friends went there last night, as a matter of fact...

I gave very high votes for not only the pictures but the extra story! The story was what added a ton of realism to this place. It was sad and scarey to read but made the place seem real not just a bunch of great picture!

Thank you for posting such great pics, I have no clue why this locations had such low votes. It seems so unfair after all the time and effort that was put it!

*hugs*
