I've passed this hundreds of times and I always thought this was a house of some kind, and didn't know it was abandoned. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Yeah I first saw it at least 10 years ago and I've never seen any activity there. There was a lot of pretty new construction equipment inside, like a pressure washer near the door which makes me believe the owner is just using it for storage.

If you walk a little bit more in the back and to the left there are some old cars, another building that seems to be an office building of some type with a modern art flare design. An Old TV in the office building, and I believe a German flag. And some other flag hanging from the flag pole...these flags are shredded to bits. If you want back more there is a bunker of some sort. There is a ton of rusted construction items in the back. The one time I was back there we ran into something really weird. As we were leaving there was a little kid (maybe 4 feet tall) walking a huge dog, he looked at us and just as we were about to say hi and ask him something. then an old Ford pickup rusted to hell and beyond drove behind us, and we ducked...turned around and the boy was gone...this was all last year...but his cloths everything from the shoes, plastic watch, and jacket was from the early 90's.

This is one of the many places in laurel I know of, ill be heading out soon enough to do some more exploring and take some photo.

I know this topic has been dead for quite some time. As a new member I'll just provide this information as an update. The tower structure, although it may give some outward appearance of abandonment, is not. The tower sits on the property of the Brown family and from what I understand it is a family compound of sorts. The patriarch of the family owns a welding and crane company located in nearby Beltsville. We used to use his welding services quite a bit back in the 90's and he seems to have built living space for his family members in various places and even had a couple apartments at his commercial location which were unoccupied back then. If you are considering visiting the property where the structure stands, again be aware that is *not* abandoned. If you have any questions or want to get permission to get pics, etc. I would suggest trying to catch a family member at their place of business. The last time I drove past the property there was a huge steel gate and fence with a no trespassing sign clearly posted.
