Quietly in a Jar
< on 12/29/2014 8:29 AM >

I've been meaning to get this set posted for some time now, well actually like for many months now, but its out and that's a relief. This was a Biological Sciences building on a dying college campus that was slowly shutting down one building at a time, such a shame. Its all gone now. It was just another one of those locations that got way too much of the bad kind of attention and was being ransacked and so drawing the attention of authorities. There were truly thousands of bottles of chemicals, biological specimens in jars and so much laboratory equipment just being smashed on the floor. Inevitably the EPA took over the clean up after the state decided that they just couldn't handle it. Very high levels of radiation and mercury were found inside the building and the clean up took weeks. After sitting blissfully and quietly for many years yet another amazing location is gone just like that.

It takes a special kind of idiot to smash a flask labeled "toxic/radioactive contents"

Bout time you post this, it's like a blast from the past! You got some good shot my friend. The top of the skull on the moss, might just be my favorite!

Gorgeous set! Looking over all of the abandoned equipment, I can almost feel how sad it must have been the day they finally had to shut it all down. A good friend of mine works in a lab, and leaving all of his equipment like that would be like leaving his own children. Great photos of what I'm sure was a spectacular location!
