Maybe Meta can organize small and larger torch recommendations any sticky the threads? I'm currently using a Garrity 1 mill, not the best, but others I have tried including the crusty orange torches from Canadian Tire worked a few times and died. I've looked into one I found in the states with swappable batteries but figured I'd pick one up when I go. The Black & Decker ones that some of you are using aren't available at either Home depot or lowes. Any suggestions? Am I looking in the wrong place? http://www.blackan...E/1/vec157BD_1.jpg |

| | | | | Posted by AnAppleSnail hem, hem. Home Depot (and lots of places) have the Black & Decker v-2million beastie. It'll take a few charge/discharge cycles to get back up to full battery life, but it's pretty decent for a megatorch at $30. |

BUT, none of them are the famous 2M hand cannon and many run on D batteries. Be careful you don't get something the same size, color, and look, but it's not it. |

Beam pattern is darn good too. (I put a review up on the Crappy tire website) Just wait for it to go on sale, they are half off a few times a year. Ya, its a tad on the large size, but its around the same weight as the smaller oness. Oh, did I mention light output? |
| | | Posted by Air 33 This seems a little like overkill unless your in a cave or something. I will keep an eye out for it when its like 50-70% off. I'm assuming that its got smart charging on it to prevent over charging? I'm kind of annoyed that I never know how much I've charged the garrity but one of them lasted me a good two years. |
