It has been a while since I have been around this site, as taking care of the mundane has kept me busy. But it always crosses my mind. There are not many UEs active in my area (Utah), but I always felt included by coming to ninja's site and reading his wonderful stories. I had hoped to meet up with him someday in Toronto where he could show me around.

This is truly one of the online passings that has saddened me the deepest. I know, even though I have not met him, that he was a person of good spirit, rare in the world that has been taken over by vandals.

As a bit of trivia, he at one time was a member of pyrotomountain.com when it first came into being and climbed quite high. I presumed he dropped out to pursue his UE activities more fully. The fact that we crossed paths even if it was virtually seems a little gratifying.

I would encourage others to strengthen ties with each other in remembrance of Ninja, in a sense of brotherhood that looks at things differently and willing to explore the paths less beaten.

After this time of sad reflection, let us continue to hold his memory dear into the future.

Snip--

Jeff was younger than me. I just heard he is gone. My prayers are with you and your family. I have devoured the Infiltration site for years. What an empty feeling to know that a guy I never met but knew through his writing is now gone. Wow!

Jeff opened the world of urban exploration to me.

Cheers from Dallas, TX.

I think we should do some sort of a tribute to him whenever we explore. Maybe bring a little action figure ninja and tack it to the main door or entrance to the places you explore. See how many ninjas we can get tacked up in his memory.

I was a subscriber on the Infiltration Mailing List prior to 9/11, and I have a lot of really nice memories of Ninjalicious... I was looking forward to updating him on some of the things I mentioned planning to do, and even if he didn't remember me inparticular, I knew he would enjoy hearing about it just the same.

This really saddens me... he was a good guy.

I'm saddened by this news.
My feelings and thoughts go out to his loved ones. Ninj has indirectly affected more people than anyone will ever know.

Rest In Peace.

I just hear about this today by random chance.

Ninjalicious was a great man, and he will be sorely missed.

I never really considered the impact infiltration.org had on me, until someone online mentioned the "No Disclaimer" article. That, along with a few other books, are probably the basis of everything I say, think or do.

I purchased his book last week, an I'm eger to get my hands on it.

So, here's to Ninjalicious- trespassing in heaven.

Well I'm not one for kind words, and I broke the guys balls as often as I felt appropriate, but Agent Skelly swapped his book for an old Adirondacks book my old man found. I read it , still thought it was a strange concept, but I found myself thinking "this is well written". It was strange as Skelly has been going to Canada a lot i almost called him and said "If you run into Ninj, tell him the book doesn't suck too badly, and then the reality kinda sunk in.

I'll remember two things personally;

1) having a post deleted, then me lambasting the guy for not having anything better to to, dork, and having him respond "I deleted your post because it was crap; Ninj; Dork".

2) Reading that damn book, getting engrossed in the writing style and laughing hysterically about the quote "What are you in for ?" "I entered". Hilarious.

I got your tour winner right here pussies, at least he'd crash out trying.

Wow! I never met the guy but after spending the last half hour reading these posts all I can say is, he sounds like a God among men. A true legend!!!! He sounds like someone I would have enjoyed running in the tunnels with. To all of his family and friends, my heart goes out to you. You lost a friend but were touched by a fleeting star. And Ninj, I might ask, find us some cool places on the other side!!! One of my favorite Jimi Hendrix quotes comes to mind, "I'll meet you in the next world, so don't be late!" The legend will live on........

I know this is a little late, but i would just like to pay my respects to Ninjalicious, it is the website that came after the zine that introduced me to the world of UE, and for that, i truly thank him.

I never knew Ninjalicious, but judging from the plethora of responses that this post received, I can tell that his influence, work, and personality were invaluable to the UE community. God Bless.

=( My condolences. Ninj's writings were the first (and best) thing I came across years ago when a sense of curiosity prompted me to type "hidden station TTC" into Google.

Reading about his adventures inspired me to write a UE themed short story... and his invaluable input about the nuts and bolts of UEing helped me make it good enough to make it my first pro sale.

Thanks for everything you had to give, Ninj. You'll be missed.

My condolences.

I have been inactive in the UE community lately because I recently moved and am very busy. I just read about Ninj's death in the Ottawa Metro this morning and was absolutely shocked. I have only talked to him via email, but I have a lot of respect for him - he was a class act and an hero to us all.

RIP

Hi Katty,

I'm sorry, but Ninj discontinued new subscriptions earlier this year when he learned he was dying of cancer.

While I intend to keep up the website (and keep it reasonably fresh), I'm not sure about keeping up the zine -- it was absolutely him that made it so special and good, and without his writing, I think it could only be a shadow of its former self.

Existing subscribers who have issues remaining will be hearing from me in the new year regarding how to fulfill what we owe them.

Sorry.
Liz
