Using copy paste is an easy way to find your way back to the Wikipedia page you got this paragraph from.
|
Since I personally know you and know that you're super good with computers and finding your own locations, why won't you pm me the exact pages I got the info from. (helpful hint not all of this was from Wikipedia or even copy pasted)

Great shots Siper!

I love the history of this spot! Did you see the train station, mass grave marker, or check out the other part of the campus that has already been redone? All totally worth it if you make the trek to tho this location!
|
Not yet, but I am sure to come back to this location in the future and explore the many new things I have not previously seen!

Posted by siper Thanks, folks! Didn't mean to hijack the thread. Tripod + light painting is awesome. That is all.

What do/did you use for light paining? I've got a few flashlights, but I don't know how to diffuse them enough for something like this. Did you rig something on your own?

Each one was slightly different, but most of the time, I just shine a headlamp towards the wall or ceiling behind me. The wall/ceiling acts as a diffuser but you'll need to expose a bit longer. For #1, I actually just strapped a headlamp to the huge light fixture and had another light aimed at the wall behind me to illuminate the room.

Try using a neutral density filter, for low light nd8 or nd16 can be great, with a shutter trigger you can go for 1 or 2 minute exposures and use a bright flashlight. Or tape an nd1000 filter to your flashlight

This place has really gone to shit since I first discovered it and posted it on here years ago. Those stupid guards. Last time I drove the perimeter in the daytime, one spotted me and followed as I drove out around the campus. I still need to go hit this place up again before they decide to take a wrecking ball to it.

If anyone who knows this place well is going back, I'd love to tag along. Looking for some sweet photo ops.

Just gave this place a visit. Sadly, much of it has been torn up for re-purposing reasons. Pretty sure this place is haunted because there we heard creepy noises coming from the morgue on our way out... This was a refreshing place to visit since many of my explores lately have been dull. Also, excuse my photos. I just snapped a few as I went so they are quite crude.

Whoops, sorry. There's already a thread on this: https://uer.ca/for...=125178&currpage=1

My story is that dent you see in the OR light's reflector was headmade by yours truly.

Made a trip back here this week and the cathedral was all torn out. No security this time either.

Damn. I've been wanting to check out the chapel buildings. Is the steam plant still there or gone?

I believe it is. I never have had the chance to check it out this trip, but when I went last month it was there. Also I just remembered that there's multiple chapels so maybe they haven't gotten to the other one yet Iv'e only seen two on the compound, but I don't know if there are more or not.

Looks like railguy88 got into there.

In and out in three short hours. Managed to exhaust most of the main building and the nearby boiler house.

Also, for those interested, I dug up the original post on this location from Vectored Approach: http://www.uer.ca/...=112453&currpage=1 As always, it's pretty disappointing to be late to the party. Everything is trashed, sprayed, and scrapped/stolen. I was hoping to take my own version of Siper's Xray shot, but it looks long gone.

Now is the time to go if you have any interest. There are piles of old medical equipment surrounding the building that workers are literally chucking out the windows. Overall the place is now a skeleton of a hospital, with any historical features removed. 1.

Has anyone explored this site recently? I had some work in the area and drove by on a weekday. The fences have been toughened up but I still found a few poe's. There was scaffolding going up on the water tower and the main buildings look pretty gutted. Is this still worth it? Anybody want to PM me more info?
