How do I get into second floor windows?

My friend and I want to explore this place called Thornwald Mansion, but apparently the only way in is through the second story windows. It's brick and has windows with huge moldings and big pillars in the front. Here's a slideshow of pics of it:

So, hod do you get into second story windows?

Run down to your local Canadian tire store and buy a ladder... or find a way on to the Roof, build your self a anchor point you rappel off. then rap down over the ledge, and enter through the window? just a thought?

*Edit* cuz i suck at spelling apparently

One of the most fun parts of Urban Exploration is trying to find your own way into facilities you wish to visit. Generally asking questions on how to get into a facility on a public forum will be met with cynical posts.

Take some time to scope out your locations, spend time looking at them, there may be an easier way to get in other than using a grappling hook and ascender kit.

I didn't scroll through all the pics (just the first ten or so) but my only recommendation would be to thoroughly examine the ground floor to be *sure* there's no way in. At the same time look for areas which would be easier to conceal your climbing or place a ladder/climbing gear (if applicable) where it can't been seen from the outside.

It wouldn't be the first time someone has gone on an elaborate entry plan just to discover a nice access point hiding in plain sight.

I've experienced the exact same problem. After several weekends of throughly scouting a place, I realized the answer was right in front of me: climb a tree to the roof. However, since I haven't gone back there to gain entry yet, I may or may not be presented with the small problem of being stuck on the roof with no easy way in/down.

This reminds me of when people in our group were climbing up a tree and the side of a building to get over inverted razor wire, and then when most of them had went over I go "oh look, a hole in the fence" that we had all stood right by. Just keep looking and you might find a way.
