so where do those tunnels go ? where they used for coal or some such ?

delightful location, photos are cool, i got over trying to critique them as i was enjoying the location too much

Those tunnels go deeper into the hill. No idea how far. There was running water and many parts have collapsed. So we werent to keen to go a lot farther.

It was a coal mine yes. Build in 1860, closed in 1977. About 600 ppl worked here.

I think your HDR work is impeccable. I have never crossed into the HDR realm but think this is something that I may have to try soon. This set as well as all the other photos you have posted are just phenomenal. My hats off to you. Belgium seems to be quite the place for old structure, here in the US there is quite a bit but nothing like there. Looking into Belgium for an upcoming honeymoon.
