I don't know you. So the new system works, five stars no longer indicates "experience".

That means you Agent-Smith

I dont understand why there are stars for contributing to the UE dictionary and location DB, but not for contributing to the forum - posts. I think if there are going to be stars for the LDB and the dictionary, there should be stars for postcounts too, or if there are not going to be stars for postcounts, then why do they exist for the LDB and the dictionary?

Yeah, I replaced the star system because the previous one did just that... it gave stars for posts, indicating "experience" or "wisdom" where it may not have been deserved.

There's no way to measure contributions to the forum in a quantifiable way. Postcount is not a good measure. The best way to measure is to simply remember for yourself whether or not you like what that person has to say.

There are stars for Enyclopedia and Location DB because it's much easier to measure that. A location in the DB is better than no location. If the location is bullshit, a mod will remove it. It's enticement to add stuff.

Ok Everyone trusts Me *wink* and i'm obviously by far the most brilliant person here so i should automatically get a Magical star right?? COME ON!!!! Seriously now What does it take? Message me COME ON, and ofcourse everyone loves my sense of humor...right?....

I think this new star system is better using time stars instead of # of posts b/c how many people would just type random B.S posts just to get extra stars... you may think its silly but there were probobly a lot of people doing it...

Keep Searching

I still have no idea either, even though I have one now. Last time I saw Av in person, I asked what in the world it was for. He gave me one, but still did not explain what the sucker ment!

yep. the red-eye-reduction is really handy for when you're going to want to blur the faces of the pictures afterwards.

no no no no!

He's got this hot shoe flash that has a light-sensitive switch on the top. When a flash goes off, it goes off too.

It washes out the subject, and underexposes the background.
