What games have you played that feature some sort of abandonment?

There's tons of abandonments in Grand Theft Auto 4. Some you can go in, some you can't.

"Condemned: Criminal Origins"

"Manhunt"

"The Suffering"

"The Suffering: Ties that Bind"

"Resident Evil 4"

All of these games take place in abandonments. "The Suffering" series offers all kinds of different abandonments. Prison, house, sanatorium, mines, drain, etc.

All 5 games are a lot of fun.

Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi

The first level of half-life two is an awesome run through of a drain & creek system through a city, and the second level is an abandoned town. Lots more abandoned houses, bridges, towers, bunkers, and general buildings on the coast levels, the cities have lots of abandoned & crumbling buildings during the revolution, and so on. Plus it's one of the best video games ever.

Duke Nukem 3D.... All of the levels are abandoned (and taken over by mutated alien LARDS that you kill to get through the levels)

I don't play a lot of video games, but I thought that the Call of Duty 4 mission that takes place in Chernobyl was really well done. The soviet-era high rises and rusty cars were really cool and it looked just like some photos of the abandoned city downwind from the reactor site that I saw in National Geographic a few years ago.

Counter-Strike!

(not necessarily all abandonments, but some drains and industrial too)

It varies from map to map. Some I can remember off-hand:

cs_assault
cs_milita

You could almost argue every Tomb Raider game is in an abandonment to some extent.
