I kept driving by this place to and from work everyday and finally decided to go take a look over the holidays when the demolition crews were gone!

I don't think I could do #2 while sitting in the courtyard area...that seems like bad floorplanning.

I always thought it would be a cool idea to get about 20 or 30 paintballers together and play in an old abandoned apt complex.

Is this in a Katrina damaged area or was it just a regular demolition?

I liked the prayer beads best. I kinda hope someone rescued them from the abandoned car before it was hauled off. It would seem like desecration to smash them up with the scrap metal. Unless the car is a 1958 Plymouth Fury, in which case you're screwed anyway.

just a regular demolition. basically everything even near being central austin is turning into high price condos and luxury apartments.

I could rant for hours about how the entire city is becoming to expensive for your average worker to live in but they still expect us to work here....but i won't

I just get angry at all the tearing down of things that could just be renovated or remodeled.

Edit: I'm not sure if anyone ever did rescue that rosary. the thought crossed my mind but it felt wrong to take it since they're usually hung as protection for the car and it's passengers and that car looked like it needed it's protection.

Very nice insight into the place. I especially like the shot with piles of rubbish and those sepia colour wires.

That's exactly what I was thinking recently but with Airsoft stuff. That would be quite entertaining activity. Well, who knows, capture the flag from abandoned building? Not quite safe to do when adrenaline goes up but...

Dejavue...
That's exactly what's happening in Oak Cliff. They're in the process of demolishing hundreds of apartments to be replaced with rich guy housing and retail. Prices are 750,000 to 2.5 mil. Where are all these rich people coming from?

I'm a blatant waste of time and resources.
