I saw this place on TV many times
Isn't it suppose to be really haunted?

I have quite a few times investigated the tunnel. Let me tell you the things you saw on Creepy Canada are false! Everything about the CC episode was bogus 100%. Is it haunted, yes but not by the crappola they tried to tell you on the show.

Here is the group I hunt ghosts with if you want to check it out. I know its not for everyone but if interested by all means check it out if interested in the paranormal aspect of the tunnel and other places!

Hey Gord..fancy meeting you here! We just visited there last Friday night and can say it's quite an interesting location for sure! Need to pay it another visit soon! Though little in the way of haunting, there was some unexplainable events we need to go back and further an investigation of it...

Hey there ^_^. I'm brand new to UE- so forgive me, I'm still trying to figure how everything works...
I signed up with this site due to my interest regarding the haunting of the Blue Ghost Tunnel. I thought those who still look to this thread might at least be interested in hearing my story, or rather my brother's story. I have interest in exploring this place even more so after hearing what occurred with him after he and a couple of his friends managed to slip in Halloween night. Although I don't believe the particular day had anything to do with what they experienced, I have no question in my mind that the story was not exaggerated. I've done extensive research into the history of the phenomenas occurring there and there are far too many similarities to disregard it as being totally folk tale driven, especially since none of those who went in that night had any previous knowledge of these except that it was rumored to be haunted. This was done on purpose in order to compare their findings accurately with previous reports. Creepy Canada is full of shit, however my brother reported after spending 1 and a half hours there that he witnessed such things as the sound of walking footsteps- which become running, repeatedly - however only began when they turned the flashlights off, and the sound of a little girl's scream from far away across the flooded area of the tunnel. Taking note of the time, my brother reported it was with in the hour of 10:00pm- and after comparing other reports, nothing much seems to occur- except within this hour.... If there are any Ghost Hunters among you, you may be familiar with the "echo" phenomena- rather then a cognitive apparition? There are more specifics to this event that my brother extensively studied the time they were there, however I was curious to know if anyone here was willing to share any of their strange experiences within(or outside) the tunnel? We are hoping to investigate these things more extensively in the future, and I plan to attend myself... If there are any tips you could provide us, or any recommendations to watch out for apart from the obvious, it would be greatly appreciated ^_^. I'm excited to be a part of this site, and I hope to hear from those who perhaps take these things as seriously and honestly as I have.

Well, I managed to go with three other people last night (Dec 20th)... one of us being my brother whom was present the first time and he stated that the activity was far more active this time around. As I've said b4 I've lived in haunted areas and experienced many phenomena, but the tunnel was one of the most active places I've been so far. Getting there for about 9:00pm we stayed for about an hour before things became too uncomfortable that we opted to leave as the activity seemed to steadily increase. What occurred was different in comparison to what my brother experienced the first time, but there were similarities. There were the same footsteps- though not as prominent as before and the sounds ignored the flashlight influence, and a scream was heard- but it was not of a little girl, but what sounded like a young woman. Words from the screaming were clearly heard by everyone present: "Help me!" and "Let me go!". These cries for help occurred after the first half hour and lasted for the better part of 15 minutes, steadily getting louder and clearer- but repeated like a recording. The cries between these words were hysterical and frantic in nature, rising and wavering. A few of us heard choking following these words. We were able to find the sound's source, apparently from above in the ceiling between two of the last support beam structures of the tunnel. After the fresh snow fall we were able to tell before and after visiting the tunnel that the four of us were the only ones who have passed through the area for at least the last couple of days. Anyone familiar with the tunnel knows there are no residence near enough to create the sound, nor is there any vents to seclude the sound to that small area.... After my brother called out experimentally: "Let her go!" and "Where are you? Tell me where you are!", the screams immediately died down to nothing again. Other voice/sound phenomena noted by all were a "crowd" of people talking from the entrance(un flooded area) of the tunnel, which consisted of coughing, female and male voices speaking in low undistinguished tones and woman sobbing. The sound of a steam whistle and working mechanical metal and against metal came from across the water. Sloshing water followed the footsteps and the present water was only disturbed by water drops from ceiling. Heavy breathing from a male was heard literally between myself and my brother. Then finally from time to time a resounding boom would echo from across the water of which we could find no explanation, nor could any of our investigations out rule the sounds Ive described above.
Something of interest to those more concerned with structure of the tunnel then ghost hunting, since my brother's fist visit in Oct. the wall blocking the other end of the tunnel is now completely gone for some unknown reason and a hill can be seen through the other side- water was too deep for any of us to risk venturing out that end and there was no visible rubble from the wall crumbling. The gate on the other end was wide open and two holes still remain in the wall from previous entries. Inside on the floor of the tunnel I counted 7 drag marks 1 inch wide evenly spaced across the width of the whole tunnel. It was definitely caused by something heavy enough to splinter the wood beneath it are now present and fairly fresh (cleared away from mud build-up). If anyone can offer an explanation of what could have caused it- I would be very interested to know.

Is there any buildup of ice columns near the leaky ceiling area yet? I'd like to get shots of the ice this winter if they form.

You can always tell when you're watching Canadian television - the actors in the show are the same ones doing the commercials.

I used to run a Paranormal site called NAGS Niagara Amateur Ghost Seekers. It was very popular for the year it was up...But differences arouse. Long story short. There is a lot of history to that tunnel. Investigate that first before going any further. For the record, YES Creepy Canada makes me sick, and so did the losers from Haunted Hamilton that are only in it for the money, and their "SO CALLED" Historian that gave completely wrong information.
If you want to check out a REALLY good site, join their forum, a couple are former members of NAGS, good guys! www.theshadowsproject.com

Also note, they have the NAGS "Archive" up there as well Check it out from the former NAGS team when it was in it's Glory! We had an article in the newspaper about the Blue Ghost Tunnel.

You can actually read where I publically BASHES Creepy Canada here

Thanks a lot Kevin ^_^, I actually did check out the Shadows Project before, and I was glad to be able to compare events with their notes. Good site! ...But I was disappointed that so many of the sound files they recorded from the tunnel are damaged and won't play... I couldn't convince anyone to bring their expensive cameras down the wet snowy hill to do any of our own recordings XP- I'm regretting it now, especially after all we heard by the time we left. We'll probably go again and I'll sneak something down at least for sound recording...
I'm quite surprised there are so few paranormal investigators in St. Cats..., this town having a reputation as one of the most haunted locations in Canada.... Is there anywhere else near by that you would recommend investigating, anywhere from personal experience that holds significant interest?

I am very skeptical to be honest, but if I had to give you one place that made me take notice it was the Hamilton Psych aka Century Manor, it is in the DB on here but since you are not a full member you won't be able to see it.
If you check out the archives on Shadows Project for NAGS you can see the notes, pics and also hear the EVPS. THere was on recorded in the work out room, 3rd floor that still gives me shivers, a LOUD scream, only heard on tape.
That place was the freakiest place I have ever been in. I never got much at the BGT. Maybe saw something things, shaows. I have heard the foot steps, which I atributed to water, although I did smell flowers once in the dead of winter. that is all, I have no fear of the BGT at all, I have been there honestly over 50 times. And it's just nothing to me anymore. It's been so damaged and tagged it makes me sick.

TAPS is a horrible show. The only thing I like is the fact they work for roto rooter. Since when does being a plumber make you an expert hunting ghost.

The show is funnier than MXC on Spike TV.

That's the only reason I like it, the Humour in it! Other than that, it sucks. So does that new shit Paranormal State.
The best site out there who I think should have their own show, and they are FUNNY as hell if you read their investigations is a group that is out of PA I think umm

Ghost Hunters Inc...

And it would appears their site is no more?

Oh wait there it is ;)
