| | | As far as dead stuff goes, I have seen most of the stuff on this list, but two things stand out in memory. Outside of one of the many copper mines in Bisbee, Arizona I found two dogs with large caliber gunshot wounds through the chest and head, respectively. They were clearly fighting dogs, and I decided to leave the area for awhile. Wouldn't do to have some dog-fighting ring think I was digging up evidence. Recently, at an abandoned motel complex right off of I-5 I found several deer organs. Heart, small and large intestine, lungs, and a few other less identifiable blobs. The strange part was that they were all carefully set out in different piles around this clearing between two rooms. If it was someone butchering roadkill or illegal hunting, why the separation? There was no evidence of the corpse anywhere, and no blood. I still think about it-it just doesn't make any sense.

| Well the deer organs, were prolly just cleaned and dumped there... few reasons why... A. you have to clean the animals or the meat will taste like shit. B. A deer is a lot lighter when gutted... Why would they set out the organs in piles: A. some people are just weird, or maybe wanted to gross out other ppl passing through B. Maybe to lure a Bear or similar; bait? C. If they gutted multiple deer, and only had the tags for one, or none... maybe they wanted to confuse any game wardens who would check on the numbers I live in CT and support poaching... because there are WAAAAY to many deer out here...Not enough predators. Though I did see a Mountain Lion walking home from school...last June. It jumped a stream and moved on... I only saw the tail end of it... My dad on the other hand saw the whole cat, almost hit it too when it crossed a swamp down the road from my house. I was like "Holy shit BIG KITTIE! COOOOOOL!!!!!" I actually called it "here kittie kittie kittie" LOL but it didnt come back I wanted a picture! It got away before i got my cell camera out, and i didn't think it was smart to chase it into the woods... It was only a 80lb adolescent male; i know because of the temporary ring it had around it's tail, read that somewhere.

Where do you live? EEK. We have a fisher cat that roams around here, thing's vicious.
| Well was in Woodstock, CT at the time; and mountain lions eat deer not people, the one I saw was about a 70 lb adolescent male, I only know that because I saw a ring around the base of the tail, which I researched and one site that meant it was an adolescent 2-3 year male. I was more curious than anything else [it wasn't threatening me or anything], it walked away from me; I only had a camera phone at the time and wasn't quick enough. I was walking down a dirt road, I heard movement, my eyes locked onto the cat's rear-end as it jumped across a stream bank. I heard a "flooomp" slight rustle of leaves then silence. I was about to go into the woods for a proof-picture, but then common sense kicked in. If I had my Canon, I would have, but a camera-phone picture isn't worth it.
