Ok lets see if this works, this is an old pullman railroad passenger car that was once converted into a diner. Not much from a infiltration/ exploration point of view but a cool discovery none the less.

pretty cool how there is a little kids swing set. I saw a place like this in California once.

Just a hint- go to download.com and there is some free software to make good panoramic shots. Your shots are cool, but if they were panoramic it would beall that much cooler =)

I modified your post so that your pictures line up vertically rather than horizontally. Nice shots too. I love anything to do with trains.

I absolutely love Autostitch. The best part is that you don't have to align the images yourself -- it does it automatically. Just pick the pix and poof.

I'm sure a more advanced tool would generate more advanced results, but for my limited abilities, it's all I need.

first time I saw it I was doing work out there and it was nostalgic peeling paint white with rust accents. That is what I said when I saw the thing recently

most old pullmans Ive seen were originally either black or a dark olive brown kinda tone but I'll defer to Rats knowledge of such things

But the blue goes with the children's swing sets so nicely!

I'm not an expert on Pullmans, but almost all of them you see in museums and on excursions are painted "Pullman Green", the olive color you mentioned. After their big anti-trust fallout some of the cars were painted in some different colors at the railroads request.

That one in your picture definitely is bright enough, and it does match the swing set. But what it really needs is some TLC, a good set of original trucks put back under it, and a nice new coat of Pullman green paint.

Nice find. It still looks in nice shape. Really too bad they did not paint it original but I am glad to see that it has some TLC. Better to paint it blue than nothing at all and let the rust take over. I can imagine a custom mix in Pullman Green might be a bit pricey in that quantity.

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.

I swear, I laughed so hard that one hurt my stomach. There's one around here that's blue.
