How is that emo? That was the day I had to kill the web worms and I didn't even mourn or act emo over one tiny little dead web worm body, so that proves I'm not emo. They were everywhere and now they're back!! Stupid web worms infesting my back yard, violating my dogs, coming in through my fireplace! Ahhh...

Only on UER can a thread go from being a complement to some folks down to being a "hey, who can we insult now" thread.

I've seen 3 or 4 new folks (some are even basic members) who have contributed huge amounts of effort and pictures

Thanks, I enjoy sharing my adventures with people so expect more pictures coming from me.

You mean, orgy.

That's how I express my happiness with the new explorers anyways.

Cheers!

I express my happiness and excitement with the new explorers by peeing a little each time I see them.

I had a witty rejoinder all queued up... and poof, it's gone, along with most vestiges of rational thought. Sry.

But I do remember how to get rid of webworms. Take a broom and tear their nests apart. That lets their natural predators get to them. Unfortunately for anyone who doesn't like stinging critters, their primary natural predator is the wasp.

Oh, and for the nests that are up in the top of the tree... someone on Howard Garrett's organic gardening show suggested a shotgun blast to rip it apart. Sounds like a plan.

I can't reach most of the webs... and I don't think my neighbors would like the other method of reaching them... and that explains all the freakin' wasps in my backyard lately! I can't wait for the first freeze. I hope they all freeze to death and break.

Yeah... it is but does anyone tell my dog that it's gross when he is excited to see me? Nooo... it's ok for the dog, but not for me. Not fair OR cool.

My dogs sometimes pee when they get excited. *shrugs*

Dip the broom in gasoline and set it on fire. Even if the flames won't reach the webworms, the heat will still burn up the web and fry 'em if you can get within about 10 feet of them.
