| | | Number one all the way. I think the color really helps portray the look and feel of the old, corroding metal. The symmetry of the shadows is pretty amazing, and I like the red light suspended off-center. My only suggestion would be to crop the top a little bit- that tiny diagonal sliver of light at the top right is drawing my eye up and away from the rest of the image. Also crop the bottom- no need to see an eighth of an inch of background. Show it more or leave it out entirely. 3, 5 and 6 have some strong compositional elements in them, but it's really 1 that takes the cake. Nice set.
Get down, girl, go 'head, get down. |

| | | First of all, I'd like to mention that I am not a photographer and do not know much about what makes a good picture, but I can identify which pictures I like, all subjectively, so here are some comments. First of all, I really like number three the best, I find it interesting to have that big metal monster at the top, and a nice organized metal grid on the bottom. It seems like a battle between order and chaos, and some nice innocent buildings next door with no idea that its going on. A little strange for an opinion I know, but don't worry I am drug free! I find number 2 to be a little too busy for a black and white shot, I would have liked to see it in colour. Contrary to that, I find that number 6 is wicked for black and white, I like the contrast/intersection between the older train tracks vs. the newer highway structure. 4 is ready to be a post card for the Shipping Industry, and I'll give a not bad to the others. Thanks for posting

| | | I like #5 the most. It looks like it's looming over the photographer. I like the shots of places like this, it reminds me of photos of Soviet factories( and before you say anything, my present "personal picture" is another story altogether). I find that shots like this just give me the feeling of a cold, industrial "wastland" of a sort. Great shots.
