Fun in College Station

Hey guys, haven't seen many here from College Station but there's a few places I've found to have fun. First place we found was the Hilton on University Dr. All I'll say about that one is there's an open hatch somewhere in one of the stairwells. The elevator room is unlocked on the roof, and also offers a great view of the B/CS Area. Later was a trip to Campus. Never been in or seen utility tunnels before, but after walking around campus for 2 hours, we walked over a grating and I about flipped, it was lit. After another hour and a half of standing there waiting for a clear chance, we zipped down in the tunnels. Walking for about 400 feet one way in half a foot of water, with falling pipes, electric lines hanging in the water, and falling in sump pump holes, we reached the end of the line that way. On the way back we caught a glimpse of a main tunnel, with lines on both sides of the walls, about 8 feet high and 8 feet wide, nice. Unfortunately, it ran above our tunnel and there was way too many pipes to squeeze up there. Going back the other way, admiring the very artful graffiti, we kept going past our entrance and came to a cold open area... a basement, awesome. We looked around at a bunch of old stuff, machinery and such, then headed back out. On our way out.. oh crap.. motion detectors! We stood there dumbly for a few seconds then noticed an alarm panel on the opposite wall... disarmed? phew. That was enough fun for tonight. We explored that tunnel about 3 more times then went on to search for more. We started from the Central Utilities Building looking for more entrances on the sidewalks, this time, we hit the jackpot, finding atleast 6 unlocked entrances. Campus was empty this time, so we just started slipping in and out of the entrances, this tunnel was dry and high, but pretty hot. On one end, the Central Utilities Plant, so we didn't go very far that way, on the other end, several tunnels that Y off the main tunnel, after following one for about an hour, a blow off valve scared us out of the tunnel. Anyways, what a joy it is. We're looking for some people to go with us, or go with, so send me a message if you're interested, or want information of places to go. Pics comming soon, working on it right now.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Bad news, we explored some new tunnels, found an entrance to a huge tunnel which was unfortunately locked. We found some open student building that was 5 stories tall and started playing in the elevators. I just pushed on the hatch which was locked of course, but enough to trip an alarm. I stashed my camera full of incriminating evidence in a well hidden place, I just hope it doesn't rain. Got quite a few good pictures, along with a warning for trespassing and an escort to our car. I'll go back tomorrow during the day and find my camera. Lesson Learned, don't push on hatches. Also, there's a few boxes around the tunnels labeled "rain bird" that have a Telco box on top of them. Any ideas? Alarms I'm thinking, because of the telephone box. Anyways, good hunting. Pictures tomorrow.

Ah good, I kind of thought that but my buddy was tripping out on them, saying "Yeah but some companies make a lot of things you don't know about". Anyways, pretty uneventful on Campus last night due to Christmas. Just don't set off any alarms, the bacon bits will come down on you quick on such a quiet night.
