When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

why not head over there and tell us about it instead of asking if we've done it? and it looks more like a truck than a police car. lack of light bar. large black spot on one end(bed liner?)

...They will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines!

Looks like a hospital.

Yes, that was a hospital. I can't remember the name of it, but it has been closed on and off for about four years. I remember there was some talk of reopening it as a rehab facility, but that has been a while.

Ok, so I did some digging because I thought I recognized the place.

It is the old Dallas Memorial Hospital, Teaching Annex. It closed in the late 1997 and was reopened later as a long term care facility but that did not last and closed again in 2001.

The main building is currently being used for storage while it is being renovated as a rehab facility. The other professional buildings on the property have been sold off and are currently in use a business offices.

Edit: Historical note, this hospital was used for the "Death of Bobby" scene in the TV show Dallas in the 80's as well as for several movie shoots including "Asteroid".

wow what a coincidence as I was just here saturday. It is indeed the old Dallas Memorial Hospital, the name is still on the building from where the sign used to be. On the night I went, there was a couple of portable dumpsters in the parking lot and all of the lights were on on the first floor. I'm not going to go into detail as to how to get in, but some of the doors are only rigged shut and not locked by a lock.

As for the other buildings, the smallest building of the three is being used by some laboratory and the other building closest to the street is some kind of health care facility or something like that.

Just a warning to anybody who checks it out: be careful as there are several cameras on top of the building closest to the main building. There were also two cars parked in front of the lab building when i was there so people apparently work late at the lab.

EDIT: something else that I found interesting/weird...One of the lights outside closest to the freeway kept cutting off every time I drove by it and would cut back on shortly after I drove away. I did this three times to test it and it did it all three times. At first I thought maybe it was on a sensor or something, but I still think it's weird that it cut OFF when it detected my motion.
