What is this "JP" ?

I heard a rumor of an old mental asylum in Sherman last week. While doing some research in my efforts to find it (still havent, but will if it's there) I was using google earth. I found a building that looks like "JP" from the aerial photo. The Lat/Lon are 33 40'35.43N, 96 36'19.89W. Does anybody have any idea what this place is?

...They will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines!

Probably right. As for the age of the images, it really makes me long for the days when I could get 24 hour old sat pics of most anything. Oh, the conveniences of connections..*sigh*

that is an old folks home, and the empty plot west is now a kohls, acadamy and petsmart.
there is a building that my be what you are looking for farther south at:
33` 38' 46.6 x 96` 36 39.0 it can be seen from the hiway, and its got a "for sale" sign on top, looks to be old and you can see a fence around it, ill check into it after work on friday.

Maybe your thinking of the old woodsman home, it was originally built as an orphanage. Google woodsman circle +Sherman and youll find a little info on it.

the building shaped like JP is clearly an apartment complex

its 3 stories tall

the star shaped pad might be an old folks home now

not many old folks homes are 3 stories

try MS Live local instead of Google

the "star" shape was not looked at today, but the 3 story retirement home is open and currently accepting new residents,it looks very nice.
