Kansas Ghost town

Hello. I just joined and since I can not yet post in the Db here you go. Its an abandoned town and the cement factory that supported it in southern kansas. Pretty much the whole place is in ruins, the only thing left of the town itself is mainly foundations, the the two story bank vault is still standing. Much of the factory itself is left since it was largely made of cement. The place is huge and covers many acres, this is just a small sampling of the place. Its a really fun place to hike around. I know there are already some pictures of this place out there but more usually doesn't hurt.

Technically...yes. But not much too it. It goes about 100yards or maybe a bit more, then makes a 90 degree turn and goes another similar distance then just dumps out into open air abit above the ground (can't quite remember, but probably 5-8 feet up). Based on some of the old mounting brackets on the floor I'm guessing it either had some sort of tracks in it for carts or (this is more likely from what it looks like) some sort of pipe or in it. My memory of the distance may be abit off, but its something around that.

Ahhhhh Kansas how I miss you.
KS is chock full of this same sort of thing.

Is this place Kuhlman? Do you know if this area has a lot of security?

And, where exactly is this place?

No its not Kuhlman. Thats in the KC metro. This place is way south, 4 or so hour drive from KC near the Oklahoma border. From what I've heard Kuhlman is to be avoided now. Construction workers doing something there and its pretty active, as the thread you linked to points out. The original name of the town I posted pics of is Le Hunt.

That's about an hour and 45 minutes from Wichita. Not bad. Do you have more specific directions (perhaps pm, if you prefer?). I have a friend who's wanting to do some day-trips. Thanks for your prompt response and sorting out that confusion for me.
