| | | Posted by mavrix I LOVe it YOU RULE! >
| I love you all! I just checked the forum for the first time in a while and it totally made my day. You guys are great. Posted by kublakhan And in other news...I just got off the phone with a man who informed me that there is a tunnel in full use/occupation by members of Victoria's indigent community directly under a downtown convenience store. Point-of-Access is still a very well kept secret. He promised to introduce me to some of the people who make their homes there.
| I heard a very similar story. And the convenience store in question is also very close to where there's supposed to be a large utility tunnel. Haven't gotten into it yet though. We should meet up and discuss... Posted by kowalski Anyway, I accepted proof long ago that something fishy was up in Victoria. I took photos more than a year before this thread started that prove that the Church of the Sub Genius logo is stenciled all over the Hall of Wonders. Middling Satanists are so 1969.
| Good old Bob! An inspiration to us all... Posted by mavrix No occultist would set up ther "lair" in a drain pipe. I never claimed this.
| No? I think a lair in a big old storm drain would be pretty cool. But I'm not sure about satanists liking it, aren't they into creature comforts? What's the sense of selling your soul to Satan if you don't get a big palace with velvety cushions and lots of roast boar and beer and all the naked women (or whatever gender you might prefer..) you could ever want? Posted by kowalski Peterman, do you have any sense of which cardinal direction that wall with the pentagram occupies?
| The wall with the pentogram is north or northwest. Posted by mavrix The pentagram has to circular lines around it, its not drawn perfectly, but its detailed enough. It has ALL the basic points, in this sence it was drawn correctly. Now your going to tell me what? some kids were in the tunnel, and decided to draw a pent for fun. Ok, say that is true. How would they know how to draw it exactly? Off the top of ther mind, they would draw something different then what we see. Wich means, they either had a picture of one, or they were very familiar with this sign.
| It is fairly detailed, slightly more complex than a simple star.. Probably drawn by someone who knew what a pentogrm looked like. And the chamber that it is in does pop up right in the middle of the cemetary, surrounded by tombstones. And the entrance sticks up a couple feet, very old-looking, if you squint right it could look like a crypt or something. Posted by kowalski Another problem is the fact that it's a real chore to carry a child you're about to abuse and/or sacrifice through a tunnel of that height. As you know, it's hard enough to move your own body through there, even harder to do so if you have a backpack on your back that you can drag against the ceiling indiscriminately. It would really suck to have to carry a drugged up kid around underneath you. But Mavrix wouldn't know this, because he's never been in a backbreaker tunnel before.
| I bet the satanists use one of those trolleys that mechanics use, they tie the kid on it and then give it a push. The tunnel is pretty wide, I think it would fit. Actually, now that I think about it that sounds like so much fun. Going over the waterfalls would be awesome. Posted by kublakhan As opposed to a biting, kicking, screaming one?

| | | Flaming aside. A woman named Michelle and her psychiatrist wrote a book about the experiences she went through while she was around 5 years old. Published in 1980. Story goes, her mother gave her up for ritual abuse by Satanists *possibly the Church of Satan* where she underwent many odd ceremonies and rituals involving the nastiest most cruel things that could ever be done to a child (or anyone for that matter) Her accounts are questionable but more or less true in my belief. In my mind I feel that the loss of fluidity and the possible exaggeration was a result of shutting away the awful memories. "As they drove, Michelle recognized a street-Stannard Avenue. It ran along the lower border of Ross Bay Cemetery. We stopped inside the graveyard, and someone got out and then I heard the trunk shut and I heard the cat start to cry. I didn’t know why the cat was crying….She made me get out of the car. It was all wet and soppy. Over in a corner there were some really old graves." Quotes in from the book. I tried my hardest not to quote them out of context. Michelle-“You mean you think they’ve been together for a while? But who could they be? It’s hard to believe that people could carry on like that right here in Victoria.” Dr. Pazder-“The only group I know about that fits your description is the Church of Satan.” Although in the book she “recalls” being lowered into an grave. She is standing down at the bottom of the “cavity” and they throw dead cats down onto her, yadda yadda yadda, she feels a breeze *possibly from the outflow, I felt the same fresh ocean breeze while inside.* She was taken to the cemetery twice where 2 separate rituals were performed to prepare here for the Feast of the Beast, and once for the Feast itself. Anywho… at the end of the book she mentions and I quote “ Michelle hopes the book will alert people to the horror of hurting children. The possibility that another child is now being prepared for the next Feast of the Beast is very much at hand.” Remember the boy that vaporized at a previously mentioned park and all the connections being made to this book Michelle Remembers and the Feast of the Beast. Draw your own conclusion, IF you can get ahold of the book. And believe me its very hard to get ahold of. And by the way this book mentions some juicy info...take it or leave it but..They say that people associated with this group still work in Bastion Square, and their peddar is a long haired hippie-type character who carries a white bible under one arm. I almost forgot it also mentions that high-priests have their middle finger chopped of on their left hand.

| | | Okay...excellent research skills there, pal. You found the title on the internet. You get the Sherlock Holmes Award for (Better) Home Sleuthing. The book is out of print. It's not being printed anymore. That's what that means. That also means it is quite difficult to find. At least in the 'go to the bookstore' sense. Damned near impossible. I know cuz I spent months tracking my copy down. My public library has something like 8 copies, and one of them is missing. The other 7 have holds placed on them. Just for kicks, I put a hold on the title way back when this whole adventure started steaming, and it took 3 months to finally get a copy. Some library geek (tweed jacked with leather elbow patches, little reading glasses on one of those granny strings around his neck, and terminal coffee breath, and badly scuffed loafers) told me point blank that the stories in the book are accurate, but that the author had been smeared in an ugly campaign that went all the way into the Mayor's office. Apparently, Satanism and child ritual abuse are very bad for attracting tourist dollars. This library geek also told me that the dozens of holds on the title are all artificial; they are intended to keep a more-or-less true story from the public. I take that with a grain of salt. As I do with most of what I read/hear about this whole tunnel thing. But when specific incidences outlined in the book correspond with the physical evidence...as uncovered by Peterman and Tanuki a la Wark St. viz. That House and the Ross Bay Cemetery tunnel (drain)...start to show up, red flags go up. Peterman described his experiences in the Ross Bay drain, and those experiences are pretty much mirrored in Michelle Remembers. So I ask: is it at all possible that, from a child's perspective, the 'grave' into which she was lowered is (was) a Ross Bay Cemetery storm drain? Further, if you actually visit this place, you just might note that the ground-level opening (sewer grate) looks something like this: and is, furthermore, surrounded by graves. I'm not prepared to dismiss the book as total bullshit just yet. I am not prepared to accept the book as gospel, either. I will, however, weigh all the evidence. If I can conclude that point A meets point B in this story, I might believe that there is some truth to Michelle Remembers, and that the author (bless her) was (is) telling the truth.

I know cuz I spent months tracking my copy down. | I'm sorry that you found it so difficult and I agree that looking for something on Amazon is a lot different than finding it in a store - particularly if you are searching for a first printing or special edition. That being said, while this book is out of print, my impression is that it is relatively common. Of course, there's rare and then there's RARE, so I suppose it really is a matter of perception and degree. However, out of interest I just called Dark Horse books. They have a 1st edition, in store for $25 (apparently some tears in the cover). I am sure that I was quite lucky, and I am sorry you didn't have similar luck during your search for the book. FYI - If you are unaware, Dark Horse is a great store. They don't specialize in occult/esoteric by any stretch, but they often have some very cool stuff, and the main guy who works there is a very sweet and helpful guy. Thier prices are pretty awesome as well. My best find there was a 1st UK printing of The Outsider by Colin Wilson (literary theory, but he also did a lot of Occult writing for those of you that are interested) for $25CDN (worth 250 pounds). I told them it was worth more than they had listed, but they said they knew that and told me to come back and buy more books there in the future! Which I did, and still do!
