houses or hospitals in movies

I'm trying to find some good movies with abandonments in them. I saw there was a list for tunnel movies but I was wondering if anyone can help me find a good movie to scare the crap out of me.

Ones I've already seen:
Session 9
Skeleton Key
Dark Water (Bad plumbing is not scary!)
House of Wax (Why oh why do people think Paris Hilton can act?)
Ghost Ship
House on Haunted Hill
The Haunting
The St Francisville Experiment

I'm sure there's more but... my mind is going blank.

Can anyone suggest something good and creepy?

It's a tragedy.
It's exactly like a greek tragedy.

The house at the end of Blair Witch Project was abandoned.
Halloween 2 takes place MOSTLY in a hospital (active)

That's all I can think of for now... More to come.

I think I saw a trailer for a movie called Happyland or something a couple weeks ago, apparently some true story about a hostage being held at an abandoned amusement park or something? Based on a true story?

Sorry I didn't pay more attention

While not very scary, Freddy vs. Jason is filmed at Woodlands( and old closed asylum in the Vancouver area), and Riverview,(and old massive, partially open mental hospital also near vancouver).

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Riverview has been used in tons of things...
Off the top of my head...
Movies
Romeo must die: it was the prison
Butterfly Effect: it was the asylum

TV:
Xfiles: a few episodes
Dark Angel: It was *Manticore* headquarters
Tru Calling: It was the morgue
Better than Chocolate: It was a customs office

I know there's a pile more, but can't think of them at the moment...

In Dreams It's filmed in Northampton State Hospital. It's supposed to be a horror flick. I have yet to see it. Also The Cider House Rules. It's not scary. More like a Life Time movie.

If the abandoned place in Unspeakable was real, it was a very cool looking place!

If you can get it on a torrent, try and download 'Taking over the asylum'... It's a BBC Series about a DJ who gets a job at the hospital radio of St Jude's Asylum.

Which is in real life... Gartloch!

LOTS of good footage of inside and out - including a rather fucked up scene of a patient jumping from the left water tower to his death!

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

Toolbox Murders
Hostel
The Marksman
The Last Castle

I know there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment. I watch WAY too many movies, so my head is a litte full...

A good one that I suggest to you is Death Tunnel. It is about the death of thousands of patients due to Tuberculosis, etc. at Waverly Hills Sanitorium outside of Louisville, KY and the tunnel that was constructed to chute the dead bodies down to the bottom of the hill it was on. A good movie and I do reccommend it to you ;)

http://www.waverlyhillssanitorium.com

It's not abandoned anymore, it was bought out and is being preserved and tours are available!

I've seen this movie on video on demand.. movie was odd... my brother thought it was lame.. I liked it because they used the true story but added their own twists to it.. sorry if this is old..
