Tonight me and my friend climbed up on this huge crane and walked out onto it's arm It was terrifying but also really awesome. I'm not quite sure it counts as UE but either way it rocked! The crane was one of the permanent ones that aren't movable or anything and was probably 200-300 ft tall. I was wondering if anyone else has ever done this, and more importantly suggesting that everyone go out and do it!

Of course it counts as UE!
Too bad I haven't had the chance yet.. But it's on my plan to climb several of them when the time is right.
Very cool!

Man.... I'd love to climb out onto a crane. I think I may have to find one around here and give it a try.

I was horribly claustrophobic until I crawled my first fifteen inch drain.

I guess I'll have to give heights a try as well, conquering my fears one at a time.

Yeah dude it looked just like that one. Maybe not held together as well that one looked pretty nice but the counterweight and the arm looked just like it. Awesome

I second that. Hell I got stuck on my roof and the fire department had to come get me down. Not my proudest moment let me tell you. And of course my fiancé got it all on tape.

I did an under construction tower yesterday and climbed a short ways up the crane. Its cool but I find it exhausting and the top of the tower was only slightly lower than the top of the crane so I didn't see any point in going all the way up one, back down then all the way back up and down the other. I may still conquor it, its not going anywhere for a while. I was surprised how riketty they are, I expected the tower to be a bit more substantial.

My most favourite location is an abandoned crane in Richmond B.C. There is something about it that I cannot explain. I spend many a lunch hour just sitting in my car at the side of the road imagining this giant workhorse slogging away.N.
