I had this wacky idea for a UE video game a while ago and so I took various pictures from the gallery (at the time it was just Av's and manitou's, not sure whose photos made what textures, but that's where they came from) and reoriented them (which took immense amounts of fiddling with the distort tool) so that they would be rectangular, just to see how they would turn out. They turned out... lackluster. But if the photos had been taken with the express purpose of being turned into textures, I'm sure they could have been twice as good.

Someone had already mentioned that Stelco would make really great video game textures, so here's a directory with a bunch of them for you to check out.

Some of them aren't great just because of the angles and the lenses the original photos were with and the fact that I didn't spent hours fussing around with the quality. But they're there nonetheless.

It really would be nice to at least make a virtual walk-around of some UE locations, if only as an excuse to spend more time there taking photos and mapping.

I make models of buildings for warhammer. Thanks for the reference pics to add to what I can work with since I'm going to be modeling this building in the next few months.

Which reminds me, I'd like to go back at some point over the holidays, and if I can get my Source SDK working properly I'll probably try throwing together a virtual version of this place. Nevertheless, I'll be taking lots of photos for textures, and whether I use them all up or not I'm probably going to post them somewhere for people to download.

What good timing. I should be getting half-life 2 for the holidays. HL2 Deathmatch in Stelco. I like.

Yeah but don't count on anything. Hammer and my computer have this hate/hate relationship thing going on right now.

Well, that sucks. I think I'll try and see what I can do.
