RG88 had a lot to do with the flooding issue I'm sure. Anyone that was on the forum about 8 years ago when Vectored Approach first posted this will know the backstory.

I think it’s just flooded due to the spot just being completely wide open and gutted right now, and it doesn’t help that rainwater could easily flood through the bottom area.

Could be linked with what RG88 did when this spot was still fresh, but who knows.

Hate to throw it out there, but as @und3rline said, this spot isn't worth visiting anymore. Risk is far greater than the reward now that the main headliner (operating room) has been destroyed. I went for what will probably be my last visit, earlier today. Got the exterior shot I've been trying to get and now have no reason to return. Hope future explorers of this place enjoy their visit, but we all missed its prime by about a year. Oh well.

You were one of the guys in the OG thread years ago, right? I remember spending an entire day going through that thread. Crazy to see how much has changed in just a few short years.

I really liked this place. It was one of my last explores before I left California a couple of years ago. RIP

Have they demolished the surrounding buildings yet? I only went after the main building was completely stripped but the other smaller buildings were still good explores.

Damn, there's so much more to this place than I got to see. Went in the middle of the day a couple years back and ended up getting busted between buildings. I'm just realizing now that I didn't even make it into the main one! Thank you all for sharing your photos, especially of the operating room.

Just for personal reference... is the morgue inside the main building? If so, I might have to give this spot a final hurrah.

Morgue’s in the main building, but be prepared to get a little wet..

Or I'm just terrible at using Google Maps.

You are probably not finding the right place on maps. Just in case you have found it and are not sure, it's surrounded by offices for a large networking company and apartments/housing. I am not sure if this spot is even here anymore because I drove by it a while ago and the older buildings near it were torn completely down

Half of the original property was developed and the other half is still full of abandoned buildings. However the main portion of the hospital is where the construction is. I used to work for one of the construction companies on the site and visited the site every day. There are still abandoned buildings, at least that's how it was earlier this year.

i was able to visit this place for the first time this past weekend. i went in through the first floor (basement??)

the pics above were all from the main building. its such a huge building, i'm pretty sure i didn't visit all of it. unfortunately, like what i've been told, its mostly stripped. or maybe i just missed the rooms where there were interesting items. one of the rooms had a pretty big painting.

these pics were from the separate building outside. not much here.

and there's this small trailer?? outside the main building as well. i think i walked past the chapel on the way to the main building, but never explored that one. i'd like to come back at least one more time and check that out, since i ran out of time and it was almost dark by the time i left.

Unfortunate to see so much new vandalism in the morgue! Crazy with how destroyed this place is, it's still getting worse. It's sad such a historic location being destroyed like this. Glad to see you got to experience it though before it's gone! Your exterior shots are beautiful!

Yea the way you entered was the basement. It's flooded a lot of the time but looks like its mostly dried up now.

You didn't really miss anything in the big building. It's a massive building but completely stripped. The main two interesting spots were the chair which has been broken for about a year and the morgue which is now apparently also heavily vandalized now.

Still an okay place to check out for the first time just but not much there for repeat runs.

yep it's unfortunate that the morgue is all tagged up, i mean even the chair is :/ i think i did miss the room with all the tubs, unless that's been stripped. if i go back, i'd mainly want to go for that room and visit the chapel for the first time.

An update a month and 10 days later, pretty much the same. Morgue is in same condition as above pictures. Unfortunate tagging in the bathtubs. Wonder how the (hopefully) upcoming rain will effect the basement, some fire type hoses near the entrance were left, seems like there is some effort to remove standing water.

Wondering if it's still (half) there or not

I thought the entire building had been demolished in 2019 so... I've got a small bit of hope.

If anyone wants to join me on checking in on the place, would love that
