Hello!

To start off, I've always been interested in old buildings and exploring the unknown. I started off in high school and stopped for a few years, now I'm in full swing, researching, photographing, and all! Right now I'm living in centralish Texas (it's a college town..take a guess). I'll be posting my shots here, hope you all like them!

Welcome Kaita,

UER welcomes urban explorers such as you. I believe that you will be a great member of the UER community and will post some good quality content. Make sure to read all of the FAQ, Rookie Forums and forum rules, they will help you out alot ;). If you have any questions that the FAQ does not answer, you can PM me,other UER members,or the moderators of UER. With that being said, Welcome to UER!

New guy here from N. Illinois. I've had a little urban exploring experience but not much. I'm looking to get into this summer as it's something I've always wanted to do. Nice to meet everyone!

What's up UE forum, I've been a member for awhile now and not sure why I didn't check out the forums earlier; I haven't touched this account for a few months. Living in the south-central MN area planning to make some posts about locations in southern MN and northern IA very soon now that weather is above freezing in the daytime. Lookin forward to making new friends and maybe finding some other members in my area!!!

Hi all! I'm Rhincewind from southern california. I've been lurking for a few months and figured it was about time to introduce myself.

I hike a lot but I've enjoyed the little UE I've done and I'd like to do more in the future. I'm especially interested in draining and tunneling but most of the info on those seems to be (understandably) buried away.

Hi Will, Welcome!

You don't technically need any gear to get started with UER - though a mask is a handy tool if you're exploring anything urban and don't want your identity known. Hong Kong probably has a lot of CCTV and a mask is probably a good idea. We love noobs. Happy to have you! What sort of things do you enjoy exploring?

Hi Rhincewind!

Is that like Rhino, but like.. a wind, that rinses you clean? That's what I picture, anyway...

Draining is fun! Though if a tunnel is used for anything other than stormwater, it's probably not a good time to explore! Unless of course it's a *former* subway, mine, etc.. then maybe. haha)

SoCal is super busy and probably has lots for you to see! Welcome to the site!

He's a character from the book series Discworld, an incompetent wizard who's perpetually getting into sticky situations...in retrospect maybe not the best choice of names. Hm.

90-something % of LA's stormwater ends up in the ocean so I figure there ought to be plenty of storm drains.

Thanks for the welcome!

Nice to see a fellow Pratchett fan online! It's always fun to run into others without actually looking.

Cool!

Mind the tide, though! Be sure your exit is far above the high tide line. Haha

Hi everyone! I live on the east side in the City of Detroit and I'm looking for other people who are interested in exploring.

I live very, very close to a lot of neat places and it's just not safe going alone. My friends aren't "into this" like I am. If you have and questions let me know.

Hello there, UER! I've been exploring places-I-shouldn't-go for as far back as I can remember, using social engineering at times. I've always been interested in methodology and being an Engineer for government projects, I know the industry, language and where the weak spots are in order to gain access in plain sight.

I live in Tacoma, Washington and am looking to meet up with others to explore abandoned/derelict areas around the Pacific Northwest, go on hikes (Pacific Crest Trail, etc.) or check out some bars on the weekend! I could also use some advice and instruction on clandestine Urbex from local experts.

I'm excited to be learn, meet up and discuss what I find

Ay the name's Shark. I'm a chick though my screen name might confuse you. Just moved from the Mojave to Chesapeake so that's still pretty fresh. I'm really into urban exploration and would really love to do more of it while I'm here. Looking for a group to go exploring with

Hi i'm Everet. I've always had a huge interest in cool, creepy, and dilapidated buildings and places. I'm teaching myself photography and love all different types. From portraits, to landscapes. I always thought the most interesting landscapes photos were the ones that kind of caught a moment in time, whether it be a building ready to collapse or something abandoned in a state that takes you back in time with how its furnishes or decorated.

I live in Kamloops BC and want to find some cool places to explore and photograph in the BC/Alberta area.

Hey all, I'm Will! I've always been in to hiking and exploring nature, lakes, etc. however want to extend that to more urban and abandoned locations this summer. Because of my line of work I have some good safety and kit equipment, and am looking forward to some big explorations as the weather gets warmer. Outside of that though, I am relatively new to urbex and its challenges but I am not new to the city so I'm excited to see its history. I hope to travel across Ontario/Quebec this summer and along with my camera hopefully catch some great scenes.

I will be attending Toronto's next meetup on the 21st and hope to meet some people there!

Hi yall

Im a 20 year old dude winnipeg born and raised. Im very fasinated with old abandoned industrial sites... have been since i could walk and talk pretty much. Everytime my mom would drive past any sort of factory i would get so excited and ask what it is. It still is a passion for me as well as my career now. I have explored a few sites arounf here a bit mostly by my self. I have taken a couple close friends as well as my girlfriend to one of my favourites. I am very intersted in taking this hobby further..i consider myself a very sefety consious and responsible young man (still adventurous and daring.. dont get me wrong). Unrelated my other big passion is football. Played for 6 years. Gave it up after high school to begin working full time. I hope to my more explorers in the city here.. wondering how to connect directly with folks in my city? Help is aprecciated thanks

From Winnipeg as well, there’s tons of places to look around here, it’s just a matter of finding them
