Hey everyone.
So originally I was stoked to share an old abandoned victorian/slave house out of Dublin, Ga from this past weekend as a first post here…. But after driving two and half hours discovered someone bought it and is renovating it. Also discovered ol’dude was not interested in anyone being near his property and was not friendly at all.. what happened to southern hospitality? Oh well.

So I figured I’d share some random flicks from a few over the last year. Unfortunately for awhile I only brought my phone along and just recently thought about a camera but alas I always forget to charge the damn thing. Anyway, happy to find a place with people who share the same interests and I’ve already stalked a lot of the threads from the area and it is awesome to recognize some places and see how much more there is I haven’t seen.

Moment of silence for this horrible camera phone quality:

& hey a place that all of you have seen about 9,000 times now, whoo hoo:

& part 2:

Happy frickin' monday guys.

Well thats good. Yeah, its from a spare building that is a lot less noticeable than the main structure so it was almost untouched. Unfortunately I was later told that some kids found it and tried to steal as many photos as possible to make a collage at home because it would be "so cool" which bums me out a lot since I wish people would just leave things where they were.

Well then you're lucky you got to see it before it was gone I have little tolerance for vandals and thieves. Horrible.

I kind of feel like my husband described a filming location he worked that might fit this description. I would LOVE to see those old mugshots and paperwork.

Oh I'd love to go. Is it typically going into difficult places? I'm just afraid I'm going to come and you're all a bunch of young kids and I'm an old lady who breaks her ankle and holds everyone up I've never been to one of the meetups on here.

I'm one of the people who run the meet ups. We usually do easy spots as some of us are old too.

Meetups, in general, tend to be inclusive events. In my experience, if there are any locations that aren't going to be attainable for everyone, usually a subgroup will form to split up and go to an easier place. I've been to several of the Atlanta meetups, and they're a great group!

If you want to do difficult, high-risk locations, meetups tend to be a terrible time to do them anyway. You don't generally want to take a large group to those kinds of places.

There's 2 spots in east ga and 1 in ala that I've been meaning to visit.

So issue is 2.5 out + shoot time + 2.5 hours back.

7 to 8 hours I'd say.
