Peptic, it's just a Northeast thing. You ever want a few light minutes reading, check out the NE Forum here. Golly they are a bit feisty.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

You clearly didn't see the original post.

Peptic you can't call me out and then get upset over it. If you came anywhere near the northeast and asked cops for advice, they'd tell you to piss off. And then probably arrest you if they caught you there. And I'm sure you've been to dozens of great places to brag about.

Not all cops are assholes but I'm pretty sure we both know one who is. As I said previously, it's a relatively recent ploy on my part and it probably isn't something that's for everyone. However, rather than harassing me why don't you use some of that experience and insight you've developed over the years to help.

As far as "calling you out" I said nothing derogatory about you and certainly nothing worth you being a dick. In fact I modified my original post to help protect your identity even though you yourself have given it away publicly.

I'm actually very nice unless you lie to me. When I ask people a question, you get one chance to tell me the truth. If you lie, that's when you're either getting arrested or ticketed. Up here, talking to the police won't do you any good. Even getting permission is hard. Areas where there are less explorers and trespassing makes it easier to gain permission. Texas, Utah, etc. The northeast is basically impossible.

I have said it on here but I don't advertise it. Which I expect the same from other people. Mentioning my name and saying that is kind of calling me out when I had nothing to do with this thread.

We have a rural exploration private forum here http://www.uer.ca/...id=1&catid=1000319

It not real active and the guy that moderates it has not logged on since 2013, we get enough questions about this topic its worth reviving I think. you may be able to just join it.

Quoting myself to advise; that is in fact a "public" private board and anyone can simply add themselves to it.

It might be a better choice for the veteran explorers to cuss and discuss the finer points of this topic since we would like the rookie board to remain a resource for beginners.

I was gonna rat Peptic out and reveal he is a middle age conservative looking white guy with a nice car he can park just about anywhere and approach just about anyone! But he beat me to it.

i.e. he has never been mistaken for a meth cook or copper scrapper...

There are advantages to the straight forward approach. Meth cooks and scrappers don't carry a couple grand of cam gear with them although they might try to rob it.
Unless you want your car battery stolen, never leave the hood open...

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Certified country boy here, an orange shirt goes hard. I wouldn't go near anything residential/barn. as far as parking goes sometimes ill pull onto a nearby dirt road in the woods if i wanna hide my car, otherwise just leave it on the side of the road.
