Anyone have a TV Series or Movie filled with awesome Urbexing and it's a big part of why you enjoy it?

I'm mainly giving a shout-out to Lost. All those crazy old Dharma bunkers and retro-artifacts found everywhere on island and off......gets me pumped to find stuff like that someday.

Here's two relevant threads:

Abandonments used in movies:
http://www.uer.ca/...=1&threadid=116903

UE Themed Movies:
http://www.uer.ca/...=1&threadid=114634

Not gonna merge these for now, since one is a slightly different question, and the other is old.

There's an old horror movie called Doom Asylum that was filmed almost entirely in an abandoned hospital. It's one of those horror movies that's so terrible that it's funny. Some of the props they used were things that they found inside the building. A lot of the scenes have random graffiti in the background. Unfortunately, the hospital where it was filmed is long gone. I think it was demolished in the late 80s.

I saw a show called Supernatural the other day and the episode was set in an abandoned asylum. Seems a lot of their episodes are in some kinda abandonment one way or the other.

It was mostly demolished in 1993, the rest was taken down in 2002. It was the Essex Mountain sanatorium. Many other films were made there, including Sylvester Stalone's Copland.

I used to love that lame Beauty and the Beast show with Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman when I was a kid.

Ron Perlman played some weird half lion/half bigfoot creature who lived in the railway tunnels under the streets of Manhattan. There was a civilization down there called "The World Below". As an eight year old I loved that shit, and became obsessed with finding secret places.

As above so below 2014 - shit ending but centered on the catacombs of Paris. They meet up with explorers to show them the way.

Also Cities of the Underworld. The first season was awesome.

This is the first movie I thought of. I love that movie simply because of where most of it takes place. Story line is alright, could be better, but I like it.

Urban Explorer aka The Depraved, a 2011 german horror flick set in nazi bunkers, supposedly. Features a crazed bum who is the byproduct of ww2 genetic experiments. Fun for the whole family.

WHAAAAT? That's Sona right? I never would have guessed. They must do a pretty good job editing because i was definitely thinking this was in South America (where it's set in the show) or at least in the desert somewhere

Do you mean Dark Asylum??

I picked that up in a 99 cent bin on VHS shortly after first seeing Session 9 (so like, 10 years ago? Longer?). I never actually made it more than 5 minutes into the movie until a bunch of us were up at my cottage drinking, and decided to give it a go.

Awful, awful movie.

I should add that it met its fate as a VCR head cleaner last summer after my VCR began eating tapes.

Nope, they are two different movies. I've never seen Dark Asylum but now I kind of want to watch it. For some reason, I enjoy terrible horror movies.

LOL, This post caught my eye for this very reason - a personal favorite location for many reasons! I love the stockyards for all kinds of photos, and the Swift Plant is just a giant chunk of icing on the proverbial cake... ;) Cheers!
The basic history of the area is easy to google, so I wanted to share something else. Here's a link to one of my favorite urbex photographer's take on this awesome spot (this guy is absolutely amazing in my humble opinion): https://flic.kr/s/aHsiU6qjzc

I wanted to quickly clarify: this is a thumbnail version of my photo, not the link provided above. His work is almost exclusively done under the cover of night.
