Anyone else here listen to some good music to get in the mood on the way to or during an exploration? The music I listen tends to relate to what i'm exploring (in some sort of way).
Check some stuff out!

Anything I would listen to while riding a motorbike tends to translate well to pre-explore atmosphere-making and goal-reaching triumph.

This is a good wonderful song to listen to before exploring rural houses/barns/sheds etc.

Especially good to play in the car.

Just be sure the places are no longer occupied. Sometimes the locals aren't always friendly.

I have a dozen or so weekly EDM dj radio shows that I follow. I listen to whatever one is newest streamed through my sound cloud on the way there or while I'm there.

This is the one that's on right now.

Some Justin Beaver and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cindy Lauper really get my adrenaline pumping before breaking a window for abandonment infiltration.

Dark ambient with a weirdly appropriate name.

Only before. And pretty much always post rock or ambient. Or Mr. Bungle if I'm heading to an asylum.

I usually listen to metal before exploring because that's all I listen to anyways. Lately I've been listening to a bit of Mastodon. I feel like listening to music during an exploration would be a terrible idea since it attracts more attention to you. A random person walking by might become a bit suspicious if they hear music coming from an abandoned building. I suppose you could avoid that problem by using headphones, but then you'd be oblivious to any law enforcement or sketchy hobos creeping up behind you.
