| I'm skeptical of that. I've done my fair share of nighttime photography in Death Valley, and the Milky Way never shows up like that. A single exposure like that would require an immense time, and that would mean star trails. I see no star trails, so less than 20 seconds. You would need a ridiculous ISO, above 3200, to capture that anywhere, especially since the angle you are shooting at is aiming straight at Vegas, the orange glow on the horizon and the only source of Light Pollution in DV. I've tried High ISO in the desert there before, and my photo was washed out. Sure I was shooting on a full moon that time, but I tried on a night that was all starlight and was met with equally bad results. If it is legit, I would love to know how you did it.

| When there is tranquility, you are in the right place. When there are no footprints, you are on the right path. When there are no tire tracks, you are on the right road. |

| What a lovely way to ask ;) ISO 3200, 16mm, f/3.5, 30 sec Next time you try to shoot the milky way, you should try when it's a new moon. That's when I shot this and when you will get the best results. Also, are you shooting in RAW? Settings you use for your exposure and what you do with your curves in post make a really big difference. There are a lot of helpful tutorials on the net. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
