A rookie post from Tennessee.

Okay so yea, I'm Havox, I usually just hang out in chat but I figured eventually I'd had to do a rookie post.. so.. I guess I'll do that and give you cute little stories o go along with some of the pictures. Okay.

1.

I guess I'd call this the humble restart. I started going to this place regularly when I was about 10 years old, ad it has many nooks and crannies to climb in. It used to be adjacent to a house that literally burned to the ground when I was 3, leaving absolutely nothing behind. This used to be full of really neat things, milk bottles, old bonnets, aprons. But sadly it's been pretty ransacked since they built a huge rental cabin next to it and built a trail leading from one to the other.

And this would be the remnants of what I consider my very first actual explore. I always considered the first one just silly fun. This one was "Oh yea, I found this burned out house in the middle of the woods! Let's go!" so naturally, I was like, "Hells yea!" ((Being about 12 at the time.) So we go in and it's a fully furnished home, still. Piano. Dining set. Pictures still on the walls and mantel and painted a bright sunny yellow. I didn't have a camera then to capture it, but it was beautiful. Though it ended when I walked into a different room and my friend starts screaming bloody murder, something about "The roof is going to collapse on your head, you stupid! Get out of there!", seeing as the roof WAS literally about an inch from my head, we did indeed, leave. This is the house 8 years later. (After 3 previous botched attempts at finding it.)

BONUS: We also found this that day. It was a burned out single-wide where you could see see the bathtub, a bed frame, and minimal charred remains of furniture. You'd have to look to even notice it now.

3. This next I guess will be sort of a set. An old school obviously not in use anymore and used as more so a dump than anything. I would have taken more, but I was shaking from being alone in the middle of the woods, because this was a spontaneous explore with no prior planning and no proper equipment.
(I was thoroughly disappointed with how small it was.)

4.

This was a drive-by. I actually got out to get up and close to it because it was so pretty, but something growled and hissed at me when I came near. I also found out it's a protected Historical Site, too. So. I'll just enjoy the outside of that one.

And now you can yell at me for having such long descriptions. <3

Nice post, and welcome to UER! Seeing pictures of the landscape in Tennessee makes me homesick!

Well that's utter shit! Glad to have some closure on that, though. I'm always on the look out for new places but places usually fall so fast here it's hard to catch em. If I find anything worth going to, I'll let you know
