First of all, it's HDR. It's not that bad, but for me it's on the edge of being eye hurting.

Second, the composition isn't very interesting, there's hardly a subject here. I'd rather see the hallway itself, but I'm not really digging detail shots anyway so that's a matter of taste.

The good point is that you didn't oversaturate it. But in all honesty I would ditch the photo for it's lack of composition. Keep on shooting though!

Agree more focus on the Hallway would have been better, and I was never a big fan of HDR worked pics. That is just me though, I will say its not utter crap, just not my cup of joe.

I think to make this photo more interesting, I'd have focused on the hallway and not the suitcase/trunk. I'm also not a fan of HDR but at least it isn't over-the-top HDR.

Thanks for your honesty everyone. This is a shot that I have personally gone back and forth on loving and hating, and most who have seen it seem to react very strongly in either direction as well.

The leather is actually the door because black leather doors are nice and intimidating in an elementary school.

I'd have reversed the ratio of door to hallway (1/3 door, 2/3 hallway) and I'd definitely tone down the tone mapping and sharpening.

Was the window blurred in post? It looks like it.
