Ahhh.. Hi.
Not really able to get out much these days, since I live in the burbs of Saskatoon, (Briarwood, to be exact).
But...
I am way into exploration and buildering, my buds all call me the "I'll-go-firster" since I never really think beyond a breakaway rope backup. But hey, that's highschool age male testosterone for you there. Anyways, I'll list a few of my skills here: Expert builderer, climber, route picker, cop/guard avoider (that particular one comes from my year or so living in New Mexico... Such a misspent youth. Good thing I'm still livin it), I also have decent skills with knots, as well as a concern for others. Bad things about me are as follows: I hate waiting, lol I want to go go GO! In addition to that I'm also not always that great underground, you can slap mr on the side of a building twenty stories high and I won't break a sweat, but a sewere tunnel on a bad day? No way Hosea.
Interesting story here, I saved a dudes life once, I was craning down in NM with a friend, little crane, fifteen stories or so, anyway, it was his first, so I tied ropes for him, and it's a good thing I did, he fell at about level ten, ropes save his life. But it's needless to say he never craned again.
Whatever, if there's anyone in Sask who knows anything good.. Let me know, I've seen a crane or two downtown, and the Sutherland trainyard looks like fun, but I haven't seen much else. Lookin forwards to getting out of highschool and onto the exploring scene.

Everything happens for a reason. It's just up to you to figure out that reason. So go ahead. Search for the reason. Now you know it's there.

I'm back, baby!

I was heavily into UrbEx a few years back and lived in a great area for it. I lived in Rockford, IL most of my life, which is now a crumbling post-industrial manufacturing city, and was perfect for exploring old factories and such. Sadly, I got out of UrbEx due to college, military, work, and life.

Recently, my life found itself in the Bay Area where I find myself being called back to the allure of grim and rust, cramped places and poor lighting. I was glad to see that this account I made 6 years ago is still in service, so here I am.

I was trained as a medic in Army and my slight build (5'7, 145lbs) means I can get into quite a few places rather easily. I'm also good at talking with people so I've managed to "socially engineer" my way into a lot of places I shouldn't have been. My preference for exploration has always been industrial complexes and larger buildings.

I'm down for exploring pretty much anything in the Bay Area or surrounding areas.

Hey, My name is Ben, and I'm from San Diego. I've been lurking this site for a while, and at one point, I completely forgot about it until a few days ago. As it stands, I'm pretty much a new poster here, but not new to UE. I'm stoked to see everyone's pics and read about their experiences. I'm always down for doing meet ups, hangouts, exploring, etc.

Been counting down my three days to post here and I'm super excited. Desensitized to Disney, I was researching old Florida attractions that I wanted to visit over my spring break when I happened upon information of Xanadu http://www.lostparks.com/xanadu.html. I'm a huge history geek, especially for any sort of retro-futurism, and my friends accuse me of living too much in the past, but I thought of how lovely it would be to see this gem. Looking further into it, I saw several videos of people visiting it while it was abandoned and, as someone who lives very much by the rules, it had never occurred to me that people had the courage to walk into an area in which they aren't allowed. These videos fascinated me and I wanted to see where other people had been and/or where I could go which brought me here.
Having moved schools and being painfully shy, I don't have very many friends that would be interested getting into a possible run-in with any sort of trouble with me and I would never ever have the courage to go by myself, so I hope to meet people here that I could go exploring with. You all seem like such a nice group and I'm excited to talk to you all!

Howdy y'all! I'm not new to exploring, but I'm new to this site (well, it's been a month since I joined but I finally had a few days to really sit down with it.)

Past explorations I've been on have been incredibly spur of the moment times when I would not have a camera on me. As a former photographer (I just kinda dabble with it here and there nowadays, but would love to get back into it!) it was rare that I would not have a camera on me, but surprisingly I think only my most recent exploration was documented! I'll have to dig through some of my old photos to see if I'm forgetting about anything that is worth posting

I live just east of Rochester, and am absolutely fascinated by abandoned/underground anything! I have maybe 3-5 people right now who might go out exploring with me, so I would definitely love to get in touch with more.

Well, I.'m kinda new to UrbEx, but have had an interest in exploring urban places since I was a kid. I haven't gone on an official exploration yet, but I have exploring buildings on and off for years.

I'm from Syracuse (central New York) and there are a lot of abandon buildings in the surrounding areas.

I do have some experience with home and business security systems. I worked for a company not long ago and installed them. I was going to post in one of the threads but I did not want to give out information that would be used the wrong way. If anyone has a question about getting past security feel free to PM me.

The main reason I think that I wanted to get into UrbEx was just to get off my butt and do something. I'm getting older and just want to get out more and get a little more exercise.

Any way... Looking to get some experience under my belt and have some fun.

Hey everyone,
My name is Erica and I'm from London, Ontario. I'm fairly new to Urban exploring in the sense that I didn't really know it was a "thing" that people did until recently. I have been exploring since I was much younger and I have to say nothing in my life has made me happier. I am very particular and somewhat OCD about how I go about urban exploring but I'm always up for new ideas. I can't drive and therefore it sometimes gets kind of ridiculous trying to get out to explore but I do my best with what I can.
I hope to make some good contributions and learn from the more experienced members on the site. I also am particularly fond of finding out the history of the buildings I explore so if anyone has any background info on anything I post, I would love to hear about it.
Thanks for your time, everyone!

Hey guys,

I'm fairly new I suppose. My first time around posting on these forums, I kinda dived in head first and well, ..made quite the little plop. But after paging through the rookie forums I think I'm starting to get a feel. So! I figured I'd introduce myself My name is Olivia Louise and I'm a student based photographer from the South Eastern Pennsylvania region. I started getting into photography and urban exploring when I was about thirteen. Particularly so when my mother and I accidently stumbled upon Asbury Park, NJ. Since then I have been poking around here and there, making several trips to various steel plants and abandoned homes (all in due respects), but I would like to gain a far more serious perspective upon my exploring. I find something absolutely enticing and awe inspiring about taking those first few steps into a new dusty, rusty environment..and I would love to continue to seek such locations.

Whatsup Everyone,

Im David from The Netherlands and been in to UE for quite a while now. Mostly do my exploring in Belgium and Germany. The Netherlands has some great spot to, but they often get demolished with in the first year of abandonment. Luckily I live around both borders of the neighboring country's, so always got quick access to some great UE spots. Been on the site for sometime, but basically with a dormant account. I never got the change to introduce myself here, but I guess its never to late.

Been to some of the spots You've shown & me & Mrs. Pro would like to tour around with like-minded folk. Mostly into bldgs but underground stuff sounds cool too. Maybe see some of You at the TO mtg.

Hey,

I've been exploring and scouting rural sights for about a year now, and have started to get a little more ambitious. I've had some really great experiences with, well, farmhouses. Hoping there's a bit more out there in the southern New Brunswick region. So, I'm here to see what's what. Hopefully to benefit from the body of experience gathered on this site.

Moreover, I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of UE community Fredericton might have lying out of sight. It's been a bit of a lone-wolf sort of pursuit thus far.

Pretty pleased with what I've seen so far!

Hey, everyone!

I'm Kristi from Michigan. I'm 20 (on April 16th) and only just began urban exploring about 3 months ago and had recently visited 4 abandoned sites. And funny thing is I already got caught once out of the four...but that area was just overly risky and I got caught on my way out...it was just a matter of bad timing haha.

Even so I still plan to keep exploring! Hoping to keep at this hobby and expand my area of exploration in new places.

I'm also working on my photography as well as I recently bought a Canon t3 EOS rebel since I'm still an amateur. So I hope to get my pictures up for critiques soon when I progress!

Happy Exploring!

Hi all.

I'm Brian and live in Michigan. I've been exploring for about half a year, and have been to a few very interesting places. My favorites are towers, Cold War buildings, and old missile bases/silos.

I hope to expand my exploring area and hopefully meet other explorers.

I also love photography and have a Nikon D60 right now.

Well, I'm not exactly a rookie. But I took two years off from exploring and now I'm back. Good to see the site is still here, though it seems I'm no longer a full member any longer.

Looks like I need to work on getting that back.

Hey there every one, I'm James. I currently live in Tucson, AZ. I am a semi-professional photographer and have always been interested in urban exploration for quite some time, but never really thought about really doing much about it until now. I'd be very interested in meeting anyone else around the Tucson area and go explore some places.
