We were coming back from a day trip to Paris, TX and decided it was time to check this place out. It's a plane "graveyard" with a twist.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Nobody was there to speak to, however it did appear that it was a business, and that everything was for sale. There was a nice looking VW there too! And, lots of interesting "things".

There is also a tractor graveyard/collection out that way and if you google the planes tail numbers the story is out there on who and why it is there.

Also, a guy that used to fly that plane from far away was driving down the road and found it.

Pretty random.

Wait, has the plane been moved? Here is a pic when it was in front of an old store in the same area.

I know that place. The owners of it restored old war and other planes and used to do Air shows. I got to go through a B-17 when it was still in operations. THey were closed down because they were funding their operations with Tickets, rides, and Drug sales. They were part of the ring that ran from Houston to Chicago, which included a number of Cops from many towns. My Home Town had three Cops I knew of involved, one is still on the run the last I heard.

Nice gig there, fly these old planes to Air Shows, and make a Drug drop somewhere on the way, especially the old Bombers and Cargo Planes (like the two D-3 dakotas they had) were good for this.

Yes we did google the tail numbers, and it is a very interesting story!

Read this also, and is definitely worth the read, plus the pictures of the inside are in the article, also.

It is still there just moved off the main lot, into the field that was once a landing strip!
