That's actually pretty cool. I think #1 is my favorite, although #3 reminds me of that cartoon figure on "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", the way it bends and stretches.

I wish there was some form of "like" button because I have nothing more to say about this post other than I really like it. 1 and 5 are definitely my favourites though.

Thank you. I guess bumping it is a form of like?

that's exactly what my brother said when he saw that shot. He was the drain model as well, maybe he did that intentionally?

edit - Does anyone know what's up with all the hot/dead pixels in some of my pics?
Are they hot, or just dead? How do I tell? And why only some of my pictures? I mean a doctored a couple because they were pretty bad, but some are worse than others. My camera is like 6 or 7 years old too.

Yeah we look just alike, only a few years apart. (I'm older) Everyone always says are you guys brothers? We like to tell them no, we just ran into each other one day and decided we looked so similar we should become best friends.

No man, none of these are in Elm Creek, these are all in a drain I named Half Harvest. McClure Park, 21st & Yale or so. Bitch gets flooded as hell too, the drain actually dips way down at the point the modern connects to the old drain going upstream, causing it to get like 3 or 4 feet deep.

It's actually in the DB, I added it quite some time ago.

http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=30024

The main picture for this entry is actually the part where it dips and gets real deep. Haven't gone past that part yet, but I'm sure it only gets smaller, as all (almost) drains do going upstream.

You never cease to amaze me, great shots as usual. I wish I knew how to find stuff like this around here in Buffalo. We have the Scajaqueda (spelled super wrong I'm sure) and that goes 3.5 miles underground but it's just one.. There has to be more out there. Great shots though, love the light tech. I'm just now learning to light paint and work in low to no light conditions. You give me hope =p

Thanks a lot! I'm sure there's plenty to be found in Buffalo, I've not been there but I know that Tulsa is a relatively small city. And when you said 3.5 miles underground, I was like, "holy shit! That's deep as hell!" until I realized what I dumbass I was.

Shooting in low to no light is my favorite, most of my shots during the day are complete shit. I think when it's pitch black I have to put a lot more thought into the shot, and as such they look better than shots during the day. Makes sense to me anyway. Thanks for the kind words my friend. Keep at it.

Great stuff! Just curious, did you use mostly off camera flashes for these? I like the crispness of the light and the subject.

No flash at all, I did all of this with an Energizer headlamp from WalMart.

right on... yeah id heard of the half harvest, just havent had the opportunity to get out there yet... speaking of lights, i bought this cheap ass electric glowstick at kum and go for like four bucks... its a glow stick and a flashlight, but the glowstick part has a flasher function that could work out pretty nice for night/underground shots... the one i got is blue, and there are like four more colors out there. target also has em... also, if youre feeling insecure, they have a plastic whistle on the opposite end from the light...

That first photo is great. I need to get up to OK given some of the photos ive seen you post... Baton Rouge's "storm drain" network consists of shitty shallow open canals that smell like a toilet.

I have the exact same glow stick/flashlight/rape whistle thing. Mine is also blue. I have done some pics like spirals and things with it.

It really surprised me when I moved here, I didn't expect there to be drains as large, and numerous as they are here.
