I have been noticing that when people mention buying hip and chest waders on here the prices they quote along with them are in the $40 to $60 range. The range I have been able to find is chest waders for around $100 and hip for about $60-70 am I searching in the wrong place where is a good place to get cheap waders?

I'm pretty sure I got my chest waders a few years back from Dick's Sporting Goods for around $40, but now the cheapest ones I see there are $55. Still a better price than you've been seeing, though.

This link doesn't seem to be working right, but you should be able to find them on the site.

Edit: just noticed that you do not have a Y chromosome. For some reason, the women's ones at Dick's are more expensive, $60:

Thanks. I don't mind wearing boys waders to save an extra $20 on them.

Nevermind I just noticed that you said $55 not $40. Thanks though.

Free shipping size 10/11 are in the $40 range. That might be a bit big but you could always wear shoes under them.

I feel chest waders are too much unless you are going into sewers, knee high boots are more than enough, that or water shoes and a change of dry clothes.

Get 3 garbage bags for each leg and duct tape them off at the knees. Try it.

Fall is the time to buy them, when they're on clearance. Fishing season is due to start or has started already depending where you reside.

I got mine at Academy Sports for 24.99. They are hip waders, and have lasted me a long time in some rough shit. I can't find a link for them, but they had them there last time I was there. Remington brand maybe, not sure.

You get what you pay for. I just killed my first pair last summer, after 8-9 years. They stood up to MANY sewers and crawling in mines. My gf's cheap ones did not make it half of that and she wore them twice. Storage seems to be more important on cheapies. They really don't like hot and cold and sun. Although that seems to be what killed mine. I never took care of them. As far as getting me into some cool shot, I'd put them right up there with my rope.

I drink gasoline for breakfeast and beer for dinner!

I made a thread about that idea. The general consensus is it doesn't work well :\

Dear OP

Be aware that if you go, say, draining in your new chest waders, there's a probability of you slipping and falling, enabling your waders to VERY quickly fill with water (which, it turns out, is a heavy bugger) and drag you down to the bottom of said drain (or whatever drain-like-thing you may be in)

I'm definitely not saying don't get them, but when I bought my first pair I was forewarned about this and was thankful so I thought I'd pass the info along.

"white trash- hip waders"
buy a box of "Husky, Contractor Clean-up Bags" from Home depot.
32 extra thick garbage bags, for $20.
great for disposable hip-waders.

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn!
