I'm down for a meet up. I'm in Houston every other week. I'll be in Galveston this weekend, acting as a minister for my cousin's wedding. Hopefully, I'll have time to check out Falstaff again or that one hotel in the water or whatever.

There used to be alot of abandoned shit over by the port. That was like 10 years ago, but I doubt much has changed.

Woah Noah, I didn't know you were back in TX. How have you been?

Also, I'm wanting to get back into the ol' splorin' so I'm thinking about coming out. It seems my brother's band is playing in Houston and it might be a pretty good excuse to get out and see something moldy. I'm also planning on getting a new Nikon D7000 soon and if I can find one before this weekend, all the better!

Good, thanks I'm not really. My GF lives in Houston, so I've been going down every other week on my week off (I'm at the airport now on my way to TX) Rev, when/were is your brother playing? I'd love to go if I'm in town when it's going on.

I have to work Friday so I might not be there when the doors open.

Aww, too bad. Well if you aren't going to be too busy in G-Town I might be able to come out there for a while. Still never been inside the Flagship and the Fallstaff is so worth going to again. My number is still the same. PM me if yours has changed.

Anyone else who wants to come to the show is still welcome Maybe meeting and greeting can happen in some way.

Get the Canon 7D or even the 60d instead of the d7000, much much better value, and does much better HD video, even though they are both 1080p, the Canon 7D has a larger sensor, more megapixels, which means less upconverting... Plus the 7d is the only camera that outputs 1080p from the HDMI port.

It was great meeting Rev and his brothers band. Rev unknowingly started my big jump into exploring after viewing his web site some years ago.
His brothers band was good as was the 3rd band but I didnt care for the first. Anyways, too bad my wife was feeling like shit and it had started raining or maybe we would have explored "Games People Play" off 1960.

So do we count this as a UE meet?

I say it counts. We met, we greeted. Now we just need to go explore something.

I went with DWTC Sat afternoon, and re-explored a previous spot. Forgot the flashlights though, and spent the afternoon walking around the 104k sq foot complex in the dark, using the pilot light of my 430exII flash to light the darknes.. D'oh! I tried to get some video, but it was just too dark. Even with my camera on over ISO 16000 and my cell phone as a second flashlight, i couldnt see shit.
